6 This study will explore missional church in terms of its Trinitarian understandings and will argue how a feminist critique of the doctrine of the Trinity might actually enhance one s understanding of missional church. It will use that critique as a lens to look at qualitative data gathered from four denominational systems to explore how the doctrine of the Trinity appears to function with regards to each system s understanding of missional church in light of their own tradition.
