4 Institution WHEATON COLLEGE For institution data, are we reporting just for the College of Education or for the University? 3 For the institution data in columns H - O (the ethnicity/race data) are we to use undergrad and grad student data or just undergrads? 4 For the years, as in 205-6, did you want the percent of Enrolled by Race/Ethnicity to include an unduplicated count of students for Fall 5, Spring 6 and Summer 6 or can we report the percent enrolled students who are Hispanic as of our official reporting from our Fall 205 census file? 5 For the Institutional Ethnicity data, the definition says two characters. Is that two characters total or two characters after the decimal point? Should we include a percentage sign for each individual number? We are asking you to report for the entire university, undergrads and graduates, not just from the College of Education. We will delete Column D (Name of EPP) from the spreadsheet to avoid confusion on this issue. Please use both graduate and undergraduate. It is fine to use your official reporting for each school year. We do not want to burden the IHEs with duplicate reporting. For the race/ethnicity percentages under the Institution tab in the Excel spreadsheet, Excel will automatically round to the nearest percentage. The current Annual Program Report we report on the date they were accepted into the Education Program. 3 In reference to what needs to be reported at the individual level, for MIDDLE NAME, we currently have middle initial in our data files. Will that suffice or would you rather that we report the entire middle name? 4 Low income status and ELL seem to be P-2 school information. We don t collect that data. Do you have any suggestions as to how to find this? 5 We have several students who do not identify gender as either M or F. Can you add an alternative option in the drop down? 6 For item BF, Did the individual apply for and receive licensure upon being entitled why would I know this? Are you asking us to follow up and see if entitled candidates actually applied? By "enrolled" we mean admitted into an educator preparation program or School of Education. Individuals who take education courses but are not formally enrolled in a teacher preparation program would not be counted as "enrolled." Yes, middle initial is fine. 6 Individual 7 who entered the program and those who completed the program. I assume that for those who entered the program in a given year, I will leave cells BA through BJ blank. Is that correct? 8 On the individual student tab of the spreadsheet, one of the columns (Q) asks for the enrollment date. Does that mean the day they signed up for classes or the day the term began? 9 For the pilot, are we to only include students from the three programs that agreed to take part in the pilot? 0 2 For the first semester enrollment numbers, are we to use the Title II definition of enrollment? Does received license/entitlement refer to someone who was already licensed and then entitled for an additional endorsement? And does received initial licensure refer to a candidate who was entitled for his or her first license? Last year the Rubric Scale for the edtpa was 35 and the only options available in the drop down are 3, 5, or 8. What are they asking for if they are not asking for 35? The date should be the date they enrolled in the education program. Institutions are reporting data for the years of 9//3-8/3/4, 9//4-8/3/5, and 9//5-8/3/6, so they should be able to have access to that at this time. For the institution tab, include all undergraduate and graduate students. For the individuals in prep programs tab, include only students in the programs you are piloting. Please use the date the candidate is admitted to the teacher preparation program. Yes. For this section, we are looking at the rubrics rather than the scores. The majority of the edtpa assessments include 5 rubrics. Q A D-S BF-BG AI-AL For ACT Score, are you expecting teacher preparation programs to report the ACT Composite Score? If ACT scores are not used for admission into the EPP, should we leave this column blank? For the edtpa, do you want us to include scores from the pilot year when students completed the edtpa and it was not consequential (not required for licensure)? For column AF Prep Program GPA," does this include professional education courses only or do I also need to compute licensure-required general education Yes, we would like IHEs to report ACT scores that are used for admission into the program. ISBE does not have this information; we only receive ACT scores if they are used in place of the TAP for licensure. If you do not use ACT for admission into the EPP, you may leave this field blank. Should we report a GPA in item AB if they did not receive a degree in a community college? What if they transferred coursework from another four year institution? For clock hours of pre-student teaching and student teaching hours, (AW and AX) can we report what is required by the program or do we need to submit for each individual how many hours he or she completed? Regarding column AN, if the student took the older Basic Skills test (096, etc ) and not TAP, what should we enter here? Report whatever GPA you have available for each individual prior to entering your program, i.e., whatever is readily available. If you do not have their high school GPA for instance, leave that field blank. Enter the clock hours that are required by the program, not what each candidate completed. If you require any version of the TAP for entry into the program, mark yes in that column, but then leave that drop down menu blank. AB AW-AX AN Back to the top General Questions Question Answer Topic If we are going to be sending any student data to ISBE We are going to create data share agreements between ISBE and each IHE. We Data Share that is not considered directory information, should are hopeful we can get them out prior to December 7 so IHEs can sign them and there be a written agreement that defines ISBE as an still submit data to ISBE by this date.
