1 Large Area Spill Containment DENIOS prides itself on leading the spill control and containment industry in product development. Spill containment or Secondary Containment systems are generally conceived to hold a pre-defined volume of liquid in a containment or spill sump sized for the specific volume of product being stored. These products confine a spill in the sump to prevent the spill from spreading. Many situations do not lend themselves to common secondary containment equipment. Processing or warehousing often involve larger volumes or areas than can be practically housed in a hazmat enclosure. What options are there for containing larger spills that threaten wide areas? OSHA and EPA Regulations require that all releases be contained and that the flow of chemicals and / or sprinkler water be prevented from migrating into drains, sewers or the environment. Such large volume spills can prove to be catastrophic in scope and expenses involving reclamation, repair and monetary fines. Recent developments have led us to combine several of our newest technologies into a new family of products under the LASC trade name. DENIOS is your best partner for analyzing and solving your Large Area Spill Containment issues. LASC products include the following segments Doorway Spill Barriers quickly seal off a room, preventing any spill from contaminating other parts of your plant. They are available in both manual and automatic models. The Haz Berm is a system of polymer concrete segments which easily assemble to form a leak proof, chemical and fire resistant, temporary chemical storage area. Steel Spill Decking is great for dispensing areas. The modular design allows for easy expansion and relocation. Optional ramps ease material handling. Poly Spill Decks also available. Large Volume Dispensing Platforms are capable of containing spills up to 430 gallons. 58

2 HazBerm HazBerm the latest development in containment systems for large spill areas and volumes O Replaces conventional berms that require floor footers, forms and on-site concrete pouring. Combine with Manual or Automatic Doorway Spill Barriers to allow easy access to stored chemicals. See pages 0-3. The HazBerm is also effective for exterior chemical containment. Patent-Pending modular design allows for custom sizing for each application Polymer concrete segments are highly chemical and fire resistant Use in combination with Doorway Spill Barriers to allow easy transport in and out of the Berm Area Systems are easily supplied and installed Easily relocated or altered as needs change no need to jack-hammer and replace the existing system Available in tan or black Segments seal together to form a virtually leak-proof barrier. HazBerm is both chemical and fire resistant. O Call for consultation, proposal and quotation. The HazBerm is available in 1 and 3 foot segments as well as the 1 foot corner segment. Hardware included, but not shown. 3 Automatic Doorway Spill Barrier O DENIOS Automatic Doorway Spill Barriers contain large spills and sprinkler releases within a room, eliminating the risk of damaging other areas of the facility or contaminating storm or sewer drains. Barriers prevent spills from reaching storm drains or contaminating ground water. Automatically closes off any doorway or opening at the first sign of flowing liquids, retaining spills and sprinkler releases inside the immediate storage or process area. Federal Regulations along with Local Jurisdictions require that sprinkler water in combination with regulated or hazardous materials be prevented from being released into the environment via sewers, streams, or ground contamination. When a release occurs, fines and clean-up costs can be staggering. NFPA Curbs, scuppers, special drains, or other suitable means shall be provided to prevent the flow of liquids under emergency conditions into adjacent building areas. UFC Secondary containment for indoor storage areas shall be designed to contain a spill from the largest vessel plus the design flow volume of fire-protection water calculated to discharge from the fireextinguishing system over the minimum required system design area or area of the room for a period of 20 minutes. OSHA (e) (3) (iv) (a) Emergency drainage systems shall be provided to direct flammable or combustible liquid leakage and fire protection water to a safe location. This may require curbs, scuppers, or special drainage systems to control the spread of fire. OSHA (d) (4) (i) Openings to other rooms or buildings shall be provided with non-combustible liquid-tight raised sills or ramps at least 4 in height When closed the Barriers lay flat, allowing normal vehicular or pedestrian traffic. 0

4 Automatic Doorway Spill Barrier O Features of the Automatic Doorway Spill Barrier Include: Solid welded stainless steel construction Self-contained one piece system design Fully automatic operation, no external power source required Easy installation in existing doorways; stores horizontally in the floor, permitting unobstructed vehicular and personnel traffic unti a spill occurs Open barrier provides up to.5 tons per axle weight capacity Designed to fit in doorways between 3 and 1 feet, with barrier heights of to 24 inches Combine with curbing to effectively cut off and contain liquid storage areas. Operation When not deployed, barrier door stores flat in floor, eliminating the need for ramps or berms. Automatically closes with introduction of liquid in the built-in collection sump, creating a liquid tight seal and containing the spill in the room where it originated. Nominal Width of Door (ft) Model Number - -Inch Liquid Retention Height R11-03 R11-04 R11-0 R11-08 R11-10 R11- R11-14 R11-1 Model Number - -Inch Liquid Retention Height R11-03 R11-04 R11-0 R11-08 R11-10 R11- R11-14 R11-1 Model Number - 24-Inch Liquid Retention Height R R R R R R11-24 R R11-4 Opening Span Sealed Width Fax: ı

5 Manual Doorway Spill Barriers Galvanized Steel Manual Doorway Spill Barrier Great for low traffic areas where Barrier would normally remain deployed Choose from widths of 3 to 10 with a Barrier height of Seals to existing floor, built in ramps ease handling over Barrier when it is in the open position Easy to deploy, Barrier lifts and locks shut, effectively creating a liquid-tight barrier. Simply release switch to lower door back to floor Galvanized Steel construction is highly durable-standing up to chemicals, fire, and the day-to-day abuse typical in industrial settings PTFE gaskets create a liquid-tight seal and are highly chemical resistant Combine with our HazBerm to create an entire spill containment area In closed position, the Barrier effectively seals off the area, containing any spills. Barrier opens easily and lays flat. When barrier is in the open position it allows for normal material handling/pedestrian traffic. In closed position, PTFE gaskets press against Barrier, creating a leak-proof seal. 6 Manual Doorway Spill Barriers Manual Doorway Spill and Flood Barriers The latest DENIOS innovation! Introducing our new line of Manual Spill and Flood Barriers for Doorways. Barriers clamp securely into preset piers mounted on either side of the opening. Designed to contain spills, leaks, and / or sprinkler water releases. By sealing off doorways or other openings, liquids are prevented from spreading beyond the immediate room or area. Barriers may also be used on the exterior of doorways to prevent high water from storms or floods from entering critical areas and damaging, expensive equipment or inventory. On-site installation is easily accomplished in new or existing facilities using the step-by-step installation instructions provided. When open, store the barrier close to the mounting piers for quick, easy deployment in the event of a spill. Chemical-resistant gaskets maintain a tight seal in both hot and cold conditions Rigid design withstands extreme temperatures during a fire Unique clamping mechanism secures the barrier in place between piers Eliminates need for ramps / berms at doorways or other openings The barrier is designed for both interior and exterior storage applications. Other heights & widths available! Manual Doorway Barriers Opening Width Spill Barrier Height 3 x x x x x R-03 $ 3,13.00 R-04 $ 3, R-0 $ 3,49.00 R-08 $ 4, R-10 $ 4, Deploys in Seconds! Barrier piers are mounted on both sides of the doorway, allowing normal traffic when the barrier is not deployed. Fax: ı At the first sign of an incident the barrier is lowered into position. Within seconds the doorway is secured against flowing liquids. 3
