3 Apalis Ecosystem Toradex Bootloaders, Operating System Images and Board Support Packages (BSPs) are designed to be highly configurable. This relieves the application developer from the burden of creating and maintaining a custom OS image. Our Apalis standard images and BSPs are built to production quality grade. Windows Embedded Compact Toradex provides pre-built Windows Embedded Compact 7 and 2013 images for Apalis computer modules. The run-time license is already included in the price of the module. BSPs and Workspaces are available on our developer website at no extra cost. Linux Our embedded Linux is based on the Yocto Project compatible Ångström distribution using the OpenEmbedded build framework. The Apalis Linux BSPs include driver support for all integrated peripherals on the module. Software Libraries and Tools Toradex provides free software libraries for additional interfaces and features including Camera Interfaces, SPI, PWM, I2C, CAN and cloud connectivity. 4 Apalis Carrier Boards Apalis Evaluation Board The Apalis Evaluation Board is a flexible development platform to explore and evaluate the full functionality and performance of the Apalis product family. All interfaces can be accessed by means of physical connectors, card slots and standard pin headers. The breakout area allows for convenient probing of the large number of I/Os as well as simple disconnect and rerouting of signals. Ixora Carrier Board The Ixora Carrier Board is a compact production-ready Apalis carrier board. It has been designed to provide access to the most common features of the Apalis product family. The majority of the interfaces are exposed on the board through a combination of standard connectors, card slots and pin headers. The connectors, LEDs, push buttons are located at the board edge in a way that allows for simple integration with an enclosure.
