2 Roof Paneling To prevent Damage Durakolor Roof / Tile Sheet may be damaged by during erection. The damage can be avoided by the use of walk boards. Two sets are suggested; one for the workmen laying or fastening sheets, the other for traffic up and down the roof. The walks board is also an excellent safety precaution on steep roofs. If you must step on the roof panel, always walk the flat of the panel, on or close to the purlins. "NEVER WALK ON THE MAJOR CORRUGATIONS / CREST" CAUTION Before starting to panel, recheck the building structure to be sure it is still plumb and square

5 Sidewall and Endwall Panel Installation 1. Block Durakolor Z Purlin to level position before starting wall cladding. Maintain blocking until the Durakolor Roof Profile is installed on the Z Purlin /structure with SDST screw. 2. The fixing with Durakolor SDST Screw should start from base angle and fixed with each Z Purlin to the top of the building. 3. Foundation and out to out steel dimension must be level, square and correct. 4. Erection Team must clean all wall panels before leaving the site of erection

6 Installation of Durakolor Roof / Tile 1. (A) & (C) denote Durakolor Roof /Tile Sheet, (B) denote Durakolor Ridge (Plain/Crimped). 2. Locate the center of the first Major Crest over steel line attach panel (A) & (C) then attach (B) 3. Each Side of (A), (C) and (B) must run in conjunction to each other. 4. All Damaged paint finishes must be retouched to prevent rusting. 5. In the event a screw is installed in a wrong location or a screw breaks during driving process, remove the screw and install a new screw of larger diameter to prevent leaking. 6. Concentrated heavy loads (personnel or material) occurring on the roof during construction shall be distributed uniformly over a larger area in such a manner as to prevent damage to building components. 7. All material shaving occurring as a result of drilling operations on the roof are to be removed in such a manner as to prevent damage or staining of roof sheets (Roof should be swept clean at the end of each day) 8. Note: For buildings having roof extension, canopies, lean to s etc. wall cladding must be done first before roof

8 Roof Sheeting Sequence and Mastic Application Note: This sequence of sheeting and mastic application saves time in picking up sheet corners and ensures a sealed lap connection. 1. It is recommended where possible wall cladding is done before roof. 2. The building plumb, square and tight before sheeting is begun. 3. Erection crew is to sweep roof panels clear of all metal shavings daily until roofing is completed

9 Durakolor Tile Fixing The fixing sequence of the Durakolor Tile will be same as explained in Page 7 Note: The Durakolor Tile needs to be interlocked as shown below to ensure the overlap is Leak Proof. Top Sheet Interlocking Lower Sheet For Durakolor Roof an overlap of 150 mm is recommended - 9 -
