BRAS My Conduit to Femininity By: Teri Lynn Richards

I was only a child when I first discovered bras. As a poor family, the youngest kids shared the parents bedroom and that is where Mom had her dresser with lingerie bras, slips, panties, etc. Young children are curious, and it only takes a moment for a child to see something soft and delicate, as a bra, to arouse their interest. And so it was, that at the age of 5, I saw some bras lying on top of my mother s dresser. She must have just taken the bras out of the dryer and had not yet had time to put them into her dresser-drawers. The bras looked so beautiful, with their lace-trim. I reached up and touched one of her bras. The bra felt so smooth, so soft and appeared so delicate. I was instantly fascinated by the bras. I remember thinking that Mom was so lucky to wear something so silky and I wondered why boys did not wear bras. For a long time, my mind was preoccupied with the lovely bras I saw on the dresser. I could not get the bras out of my mind. I loved the look of the bras. I loved how the bras felt. I loved the thin and soft material from which the bras were made. From that moment on, of all feminine apparel, I most associated bras with femininity. I remember, that as a child, from that day forward, I began to look at women very carefully, trying to imagine what kind of bra they were wearing. I loved it when a woman wore a blouse which was thin enough so that it revealed the outline of her bra. I also remember that some women seemed more daring, in letting their bra show through their clothing, than others. I couldn t take my eyes off a woman whose braoutline could be seen under her blouse. 2

My mother was part of a new generation, a generation who did not believe in the strict dress-codes of their parents or grandparents - who believed the modesty could not be overdone. Mom believed in a more liberal style of dressing and sided with those women who believed that they did not have to wear blouses of such heavy material that the braoutlines would be totally concealed. It wasn t long before the younger women started to wear even thinner blouses blouses through which not only the outline, but pretty much all of the bra could be seen. I was now about 6 years old and more interested in bras than ever. I wondered what it was like to wear a bra. I had touched some bras and knew that they felt nice, but that was the extent of my knowledge about bras. I have one sister, but never saw her bras. When we were young, because she was the only girl among 5 siblings, she had her own bedroom and because the boys were not allowed in her room, I never saw any of her bras or other lingerie. I did wonder whether she wore bras similar to Mom s bras. 3

My curiosity and interest in bras was starting to get the best of me. One night, at bedtime, I noticed some bras on the dresser again. But, this time, the bras seemed much smaller. Apparently, Mom had not had time to sort out the laundry, so my sister s bras were still on Mom s dresser. Looking at those bras got me thinking. By now, I was extremely curious as to how it would feel to wear a bra. Well, with several of my sister s bras on the dresser, I thought it might be my chance to find out how it feels to wear a bra. As I slipped into bed, I reached over to the dresser and grabbed one of the bras. Once under the covers, I took off my pajama-top and slipped on the bra. Because my bed was in my parents bedroom, I had often seen my Mom slip on a bra. Of course, she always made sure to turn away from me, so I would not see her breasts, but that provided the perfect opportunity for me to see how she hooked the bra behind her back. It was almost as if I had been born with the talent of hooking a bra behind my back. In no time, I had the bra fastened, slipped my top back on and, for the first time, experienced the feeling of wearing a bra. The feeling of wearing a bra was heavenly! From then on, I felt that a bra was something I would always want to wear. As I ran my fingers over the bra, the smooth and silky feeling sent shivers up my spine. I was too young to understand why I was so thrilled at wearing a bra. 4

I knew that before my parents came to bed, I had to take off the bra and put it back on the dresser. I remember that I felt sad as I removed the bra. The only consolation was that I made up my mind that I would wear a bra in bed, anytime I saw one on Mom s dresser. Wearing a bra in bed had become a ritual. As all good things, wearing a bra in bed had its end. One night, when I was wearing a bra, my mother came to bed quite early. I did not have any warning that she was coming up to bed early, so I did not have time to remove the bra. In my endeavor to put on the bra, while under my blanket, my movements caused the blanket to slide down. I prayed that Mom would not notice that I had a bra on. As Mom went to pull up my blanket, she saw it the lace from the bra, visible at my neck. Mom asked whether I was wearing a bra, but I did not answer. Mom pulled the blanket back, gently pulled on my PJ-top and saw that indeed I was wearing a bra. She smiled and said that she would help me to take the bra off before my dad came to bed. Oh how I hated taking off the bra. I was still too young to understand that boys shouldn t wear bras. Mom did not scold me for wearing the bra. OK, so Mom caught me wearing a bra, while in bed, but I didn t get killed and the world didn t end. That encouraged me to try wearing a bra again. From then on, I wore a bra to bed, as often as I could. Nothing felt better than wearing a bra. I would lie in bed, caressing my bra. The feel of the bra s soft material seemed to sooth my soul. When wearing a bra, I was not only in bed, I was in heaven. For many months, I would wear a bra to bed at least once or twice a week. 5

One night, I felt so relaxed that I fell asleep wearing a bra. That night, Mom did not notice I was wearing a bra. In the morning, when Mom got me up, I jumped out of bed, forgetting that I still had the bra on. Of course, Mom saw that I was wearing a bra. Fortunately, dad got up much earlier for work, so the bra-episode escaped him. As before, Mom did not scold me for wearing the bra. Mom simply said that I would need to take off the bra before getting dressed. I went to the bathroom, washed up, brushed my teeth and returned to the bedroom, before Mom helped me take off the bra and get dressed. I don t recall that she ever explained why I should not be wearing a bra. Maybe Mom was not concerned about me wearing a bra, because I was not yet going to school. I didn t start school until late into age 6. For some time after that, I did not see any more bras left on Mom s dresser. I think that she figured she should not make bras that easily accessible. However, by now I had become very fond of wearing a bra in bed and soon missed not being able to do so. Well, I thought that if there were no bras on the dresser, maybe I could find one in the hamper. I could have gone into Mom s dresser-drawer to get a bra, but I thought that she would notice that. One night, as I went up to bed, I looked to see whether there were any bras in the hamper. 6

Lucky me, several bras were laying in the hamper some large ones and some smaller ones - apparently my sister s bras. I took one of the smaller bras and hurried to the bedroom. I couldn t wait to slip into the bra. Quickly, I put my PJ-top over the bra and crawled into bed. I was back in heaven, having on a silky-smooth bra. Because Mom had not scolded me for wearing a bra to bed, I did not worry about taking it off before she came up to the bedroom. After some time of caressing my bra, I fell asleep. When I awoke, I realized that I was wearing a bra. I waited until Mom got up and was in the bathroom before I got out of bed, then quickly removed the bra. However, I did not get a chance to return the bra to the hamper. Instead, I hid the bra in my bed. That was a dumb idea, because when Mom made the bed, she found the bra. Mom said nothing about finding the bra. I knew she found it, because it was not in my bed that night. I knew how often Mom did the laundry and figured that I could keep the bra until it was time for the laundry. Not so, as now I had to retrieve the bra, again, from the hamper. I was hesitant to get the bra the same night, because I thought that Mom might check the hamper before going to bed. So, for the next several nights, I went to bed without a bra. When I thought that it was safe again, I got a bra from the hamper, on the way to the bedroom. Wearing a bra again was a sheer delight. With the bra, I slept better than ever. In the morning, I remembered to put the bra back in the hamper. 7

By now, I was really hooked on wearing a bra to bed and it seemed that Mom was no longer checking to see whether I was wearing a bra in bed. Because Mom was not checking me for a bra, it made me bolder. Besides the bras, on the dresser, or in the hamper, I saw other items of lingerie, which looked equally silky. I wondered what it would be like to wear one of those other lingerie items with a bra. One day, I looked into the hamper and saw that there were several bras and slips. To prepare for that night, I took one bra and a slip out of the hamper and hid them in my bed. I couldn t wait to get to bed, to wear the bra and try wearing the slip for the first time. That night, wearing a bra and slip, was a new adventure into femininity. Of course, at that age, I did not really associate wearing a bra and slip with femininity. All I knew is that wearing a bra and slip felt so good! Well, being enthralled with the bra and slip, I did not put on my PJs that night. I was not quite asleep when Mom entered the bedroom and suddenly I realized that if she pulled up my blanket, to ensure that I would be warm, she would immediately see my bra and slip. I pretended to be asleep, hoping Mom would not see that I was again wearing a bra and this time, also a slip. 8

Well, Mom did adjust my blanket, pulling it down a bit so she could grab the bed-sheet, before pulling the blanket up and, in doing, so she saw that I was wearing a bra and slip. I must have looked very tired, because she did not say anything to me about the bra or slip. In the morning, with a smile on her face, she asked whether I was warm enough last night. I totally forgot that I had slept in a bra and slip, so I asked her why she thought I might have been cold. Mom replied that she saw I was not wearing my PJs, just a slip and bra. Still not really knowing that it was taboo for boys to wear lingerie, I calmly replied, Yes, Mom, the slip and bra kept me warm. This was the first time that we talked about me wearing a bra and now, also a slip. Mom asked me how I felt, wearing the slip and bra. I told her that I loved the feel of the soft material and that it felt better than my PJs. Then she asked how often I had worn a slip to bed, along with a bra. I told Mom that this was the first time I wore a slip over a bra. I guess Mom wanted to know how hooked I was on wearing a bra and slip to bed. For about two weeks, I could not find a bra or slip in the hamper. After what seemed like an eternity, I again found some bras and slips out; but this time, they were not in the hamper, but on Mom s dresser. For the next 6 years, wearing a bra and slip to bed, was routine. I had now turned 13 and Mom wanted to determine how serious I was about wearing bras and slips. At this age, if wearing bras was some childhood fling, surely I should be over it by now. Adolescent boys should be thinking about becoming men looking manly, not interested in wearing bras and slips. 9

Mom thought of a plan to see whether my interest in bras had diminished. One day, she placed a bra and slip on the opposite end of her dresser where she normally placed them - close to my bed, almost as if to say, if you want to wear these tonight, here they are; you don t have to hunt in the hamper for them. That was too easy, but I couldn t pass up wearing a bra and slip just because I thought that Mom was checking on me. Happily, I took the bra and slip, ducked into the closet and put them on, then jumped quickly into bed. When Mom came to the bedroom that night and adjusted my blanket, I was still awake and saw her smile when she noticed that I was wearing the bra and slip. In the morning, Mom came into the bedroom, just as I was getting ready to get up and take off the slip and bra. Mom spoke: I saw that you were wearing a slip and bra last night. You looked so happy wearing the slip and bra. When you first started wearing bras to bed, over six years ago, I thought that you would eventually outgrow this interest, but I see that you are just as interested in wearing bras today, as you were then. It s Saturday, so you can leave them on when you get up. I was so happy that she said I could wear a bra and slip during the day, because, at this age, I was afraid that Mom might not approve if she knew that I was still wearing bras and slips. 10

I was just coming out of the bathroom as Mom came into the bedroom, carrying some more bras, slips and other laundry, which she laid on her bed before sorting it for her dresser. Mom called me over to her bed, while she sorted the bras, slips and other lingerie. Holding up a short piece of lingerie, Mom told me that if I was going to wear a bra and slip during the day, it might be a bit difficult. I asked why wearing a bra and slip would be difficult. Mom replied that wearing only a bra would not be the problem, but that the slip would be almost impossible to tuck into my pants. Mom then explained that she looked around and found some older bras and slips which my sister used to wear. She told me that my sister s bras and slips would fit me better. Mom then handed me the short piece of lingerie, explaining that it was a short slip a camisole, to be worn over a bra. I was familiar with bras, but not camisoles. Mom helped me to remove her bra and slip, which I had worn to bed. She helped me put on the new bra, then she gently slipped the camisole over my head, adjusting it carefully over my bra. Mom explained I m giving you this bra and camisole. There are some more bras and camisoles in the laundry and as soon as they are washed, I will put them in the dresser, next to mine. When you go to bed, you can choose a bra and slip. For daytime, you can wear any bra, but change from a slip to a camisole. I was so happy to be able to wear bras and slips at night and bras and camisoles during the day, as soon as I got home from school and all day on the weekends! 11

For the next several weeks, each night I would go to bed wearing a bra and slip. During the day, under my regular boy clothes, as soon as I got home from school and changed, I would always wear a bra and camisole. Mom apparently did not mind that I liked wearing bras and camisoles. Maybe she thought that my interest in bras, slips and camisoles would eventually diminish and disappear totally as I got further into my teen-years. However, the opposite happened, and I became even more attached to wearing bras and camisoles. I never passed an opportunity to wear a bra or slip, and Mom took notice of that fact. One day, Mom mentioned that I might like to wear bras with a different styles and colors. I asked her what other kind of bras there were. Mom explained the different styles of bras and gave me a brief explanation about bra-sizes. Mom also explained that some bras have padding training bras, she called them. Mom told me to think about what color of bra I would like to try. About a week later, Mom said that she was going shopping and asked what color of bra I thought that I would like. I told Mom that I really hadn t thought about it, so she could buy whatever color and style bras she wanted and it would be alright with me. When Mom came back from shopping, she showed me the bras she bought. Mom had bought at least 9 bras, in red, black, pink and white. She said that with 9 bras, I would have enough for wearing one each day and a couple of extras. Besides the bras, she also bought matching slips and camisoles. I noticed that the bras were much smaller than my sister s bras, which I had been wearing up to now. 12

I asked Mom why the bras were so small. Mom said that if I wore a bra in bed, it didn t matter if the bra was bulky under my slip or PJs. She explained that a bulky bra would show under my clothes during the day, but that bras which were smaller would fit tighter and thus not bulk out my clothes. She said that these were training-bras. Her explanation seemed much too long, because all I was interested in was trying on the new bras, slips and camisoles. I guess Mom didn t miss the excitement on my face, because she reached for a pink bra and asked whether I wanted to try it on. With trembling hands, I reached out and took the bra from her. I was just turning to go to the bathroom to put on the bra, when Mom said, Honey, you don t have to go to the bathroom to change. I know that you love to wear lingerie, that s why I bought you these bras, slips and camisoles. Instead of sneaking one of my bras, or your sister s bras, you now have you own. Here, let me help you put on your bra and Cami. The first thing I noticed is that this bra had a totally different fit. My new bra felt like it was part of my skin, it fit so tight. It felt much better wearing a bra that was clinging to my chest. I couldn t resist caressing my new bra. Thinking that I no longer had to sneak my mother s or sister s bras, put a radiant smile on my face. 13

Mom didn t miss that smile, commenting, I see that you really like having your own bras bras that fit. You can wear your new bras with or without a Cami. Just remember this, if we are alone in the house, it doesn t matter, to me, whether your bra-outline shows through your shirts. However, whenever your sister or father is home, you should wear a Cami over your bras, so the bra-outline doesn t show. I hope you enjoy your new bras, slips, and camisoles. For the next several months, I wore a bra and slip to bed every night and a bra and Cami, every moment while at home. It seemed that a good portion of the laundry consisted of my bras, slips, and camisoles. One day, when I got home from school, Mom told me she had done the laundry, but because of so many of my bras and slips were in the laundry, she did not have room to wash my after-school shirts. She told me not to worry, because she was sure that she would find something for me to wear, as soon as I changed and put on my bra and Cami. I chose a black bra and Cami. I went downstairs and entered the family room, with no shirt on to cover my bra and Cami. Mom took one look at me and remarked, Someone is feeling sexy today, wearing a black bra. I asked Mom why she said that. Mom then took a few minutes to explain how women choose which color bra to wear. That was more information, about bras, than I had ever known. I blushed at her comments about the bra I was wearing. 14

When Mom finished talking about bras, she handed me a shirt and said it would fit well with what I was wearing. I was wondering why she said the shirt would go well with my bra and Cami. I put the shirt on and tried to button it over my bra, but found that there was something different about this shirt. I asked Mom about this and she told me that I had trouble with the buttons, not because I was wearing a bra underneath, but because the buttons were on the opposite of my boy-shirts. OK, so Mom explained that because I was already wearing a bra and Cami, she thought that a shirt-blouse would be appropriate besides, my shirts were in the laundry. The blouse wasn t overly feminine in appearance, but it did fit very well over my bra. Unless one looked closely, the fact that I was wearing a bra and shirt-blouse was not readily noticeable. But knowing that I was now wearing a blouse over my bra, gave me a new feeling of fulfillment. I had been wearing bras so long, it became routine and I almost lost some of that special feeling I had the first few months of wearing bras. When my father and sister came home, they did not seem to notice that I was wearing a bra under my shirt. My sister did ask our mother why I was wearing a shirt-blouse, but if she noticed my bra-outline, she gave no indication that she knew I was also wearing a bra. While Mom was telling her that all my shirts were in the laundry, I hoped that she would not point out that I was also wearing a bra; but why should she? 15

Mom didn t miss the fact that I loved wearing a blouse over my bra. Perhaps she knew that it made me feel more feminine sexier, because I was wearing an additional feminine item over my bra a feeling that I wouldn t have described as sexy, but that s exactly what the feeling was. Thereafter, Mom happened to wash all my shirts at once, more frequently, so that I would have an excuse to wear a blouse over my bra and Cami. My baby-fat had disappeared some time ago and Mom thought that my chest was too flat for wearing a bra. I guess she thought that if I was going to wear a bra, then the bra should provide some shape to my blouse. It was then that Mom told me that if I still wanted to wear bras, she would have to get me some new ones. To demonstrate what she meant, she got some old nylons to fill out my bra-cups. Before placing the nylons into my bracups, she cut the nylons in half. Mom said that she didn t want the bra to look too big, but have just enough padding to give my chest at least the same appearance it had when I still had my baby-fat. After she placed the nylons in my bra, I put a blouse on. Mom looked at me and noticed that I liked the new figure my padded-bra gave me. She smiled and said, That blouse looks much better on you with a padded-bra. That s why I said you need new bras. 16

That evening my sister noticed that my shirt looked nicer, but she did not know that I was wearing a bra, filled out with nylons. She complimented me on how nice my shirt looked; still not knowing that a padded-bra was responsible for making my shirt fit better. My sister s comment did not escape Mom, who was thinking about what kind of bras to buy me. Mom finally got out to do some shopping and bought me a dozen new bras. My camisoles still fit and looked even better on me with my new bras. Mom bought me an assortment of 36-B lightly-padded bras. Some bras were plain, some had lace-trim and a few had lace-cups. When Mom showed me my new bras, I couldn t help but hug her. I almost cried as I told her, Mom, I don t know why I like wearing bras, but I m so glad that you don t think I m weird, but instead, support my feelings, by buying me these lovely bras. She replied, Terry, I know that you truly love to wear bras, slips and camisoles and I don t think that this feeling will ever go away. Once someone like you begins to enjoy feminine apparel, such as bras, they usually never stop, but progress to wearing additional feminine items. Do you think that you are ready for more than bras? 17

Wow, it was overwhelming to hear that Mom was suggesting I should try wearing other feminine items instead of only bras and Cami s! Me I was happy to wear bras and camisoles during the day, but how would I ever get away with wearing other feminine items? I asked Mom what she would recommend that I try, in addition to wearing bras and Cami s. Little did I know that Mom had already thought ahead to this moment, so when she bought my last batch of bras, she also bought a dozen panties for me. One day, shortly after she bought me new bras, she timed it just right and came into the bedroom just as I was getting changed out of my school-clothes. As I was slipping off my pants, Mom handed me some black panties, saying I should try them with my black bra and Cami. I tried not to appear too excited to try the panties with my matching bra and Cami. As soon as Mom stepped out for a second, I slipped off my shorts and pulled on the panties a perfect match with my bra. With panties, bra, camisole and pants on, the only thing missing was a shirt. I went to the closet to look for a shirt, which I thought would fit well over my bra, but couldn t find one. Mom reappeared, carrying a shirt, which she said would have a nice fit over my new padded-bra. 18

I took the shirt from her and put it on, immediately noticing how well it fit over my bra. I can t believe that only a few years ago I was sneaking bras and now Mom and I were referring to the bras I was wearing as my bras. But back to the shirt that looked so nice over my bra I noticed, as once before, that the shirt was actually a blouse. I smiled at Mom and told her that indeed, this shirt did fit nicely over my bra. I asked Mom whether she though that my sister would notice that I m wearing a bra under my blouse? Mom said not to worry, because my sister had no reason to suspect that I was wearing a bra, so she would not look at me that closely. Believing that Sis would not notice my bra, gave me some relief, although secretly I wished I could share this side of my life with her. Dinner was over and I passed the test, because neither my father nor sister noticed that I was wearing a bra. Although my sister did not notice that I was wearing a bra, it did not escape her that I was wearing a blouse. She asked me where I bought the blouse, but I was glad that she did not notice my bra, or she would have also asked me about that. I told her that I did not buy the blouse, but that Mom gave it to me, but conveniently neglected to mention that Mom suggested I wear the blouse because it would have a nicer look, over my bra, than my regular shirts. 19

The weather was turning warmer, so wearing a bra would present some challenges during the next few months. With the heavier material, of which winter clothes are made, concealing the outlines of a bra was not difficult. I thought that I could avoid all risks, of someone discovering that I was wearing a bra, by just not wearing one during the summer months. I had become so fond of, and so accustomed to, wearing bras, camisoles and panties, that I couldn t imagine not wearing them during the summer. Meanwhile, Mom was finding more blouses for me to wear, always reminding me, that over a bra, they had a better fit than my shirts. As usual, by the time my sister got home, I was dressed, wearing a bra, a Cami and panties. My sister still did not know that it was my bras which made me look nicer when wearing a blouse and she complimented me on how nice I ve been looking lately, saying that Mom should wash all my shirts, at the same time, more often. If she knew that I was wearing a bra, she may not have said that. Instead of knowing that when I wore a blouse, I was also wearing a bra, my sister apparently still thought I wore blouses because Mom hadn t gotten around to washing my shirts. 20

One day, Mom asked me whether I would continue to wear bras during the summer. I was now very comfortable wearing a bra, Cami and panties under my clothes after school and often when out shopping, etc. sometimes also wearing a blouse. Mom seemed to be coming up with a lot of blouses lately, for me to wear over my bras, so I asked her where she got them. I knew that Mom didn t wear the same size shirts that I did and I knew they were not my sister s blouses, so I asked her how it was that she had so many blouses for me to wear over my bras. Mom confessed that the last time she bought me bras; she also bought a dozen blouses not too feminine - but blouses which would give me a better appearance when worn over my bras, than would my boy-shirts. I guess Mom had completely accepted the fact that I was not giving up wearing bras at least not in the near future. In fact, I firmly believed that Mom expected that I would be wearing bras during the summer, so when she asked me about it, I conceded that I would. 21

The warm weather had arrived and the next time Mom gave me a blouse to wear, over my bra, I noticed that it was made of a lighter material. Mom told me that because the blouse was dark, the outline of my bra would not be visible and that explanation put me at ease. What I didn t notice is that with the thinner material, my bra pushed out more against my blouse, giving me a bit larger chest. I looked at myself in the mirror and thought that I could not only notice the fuller figure, but that I could see a faint outline of my bra through the blouse. In panic, I told my mother that I was afraid that my sister or father might detect that I was wearing a bra. Mom consoled me, telling me that my bra was not visible and assured me that if someone did look very closely and noticed the outline of my bra, it would not be the end of the world. During dinner, we engaged in the usual conversations and no one mentioned what I was afraid of that they noticed I was wearing a bra. While concerned that my sister or father would discover me wearing a bra, deep inside I wanted to share my love of feminine clothes with them. Several weeks passed and I was now wearing a blouse, over my bra, almost every day. 22

One night, during dinner, my sister again asked Mom why I was now wearing blouses more often than shirts. Mom told her that my shirts had gotten worn out and that she found some new shirts, on sale at a consignment store. Of course, Mom didn t mention that with me wearing bras, the new shirts had a better fit. Instead, she told my sister that with my small stature, blouses fit me better than shirts. I was glad that my sister accepted that explanation, but was not told that I also wore bras. 23

One Saturday, as I was getting ready to get dressed, I looked for a matching Cami to wear with my red bra. I could not find my red Cami, so I slipped on my red bra, but no Cami. Mom had hung up all the blouses she got me, in my closet, so finding one to match my red bra was easy. I grabbed the blouse and put it on over my bra. The bra was quite thin and I hoped that the outline of my bra would not be too visible. I was more concerned that my sister would notice my braoutline, than some stranger at the Mall noticing it, but Sis had already left to go shopping with her girlfriends, so I decided to go shopping too. For the first time, it dawned on me that if I was going out in public, wearing a bra under a blouse, just maybe, someone might take a second look at me because of the figure my chest had, or because they noticed the outline of my bra. Not wanting to go without wearing a bra, I decided that I should brush my hair a bit nicer than normal; my real intent was for my hair to have a bit of a feminine-style. I didn t really know how to brush it to get the look I wanted, while wearing a bra and blouse, so I asked Mom for help. Mom brushed my hair until she was satisfied that the look would make me feel comfortable while wearing a bra and blouse, but before she let me go, she also trimmed my eyebrows. 24

Mom smiled at me and before I left and told me that she was glad that I decided to wear a bra under my blouse, even though it was a hot day. Maybe she thought that I had a change-of-heart about wearing a bra on a hot day, especially when I was going out shopping. Knowing that I was wearing a bra made her smile. I asked whether she could see my bra through my blouse. Mom told me that my bra was not readily visible, so I was ready to go to the Mall. As I was heading for the door, Mom told me to look in the mirror and see how nice I looked while wearing a bra and blouse, adding that she thought it was a much nicer, softer look than how I looked in my boy-shirts, without a bra. While walking through the Mall, I noticed that more girls seemed to be looking at me and I just hoped it wasn t because I was wearing a bra. Why did I not want anyone to know I was wearing a bra and blouse and panties? It would be so embarrassing, I thought, if people knew that a boy was wearing a bra. To overcome my feelings, I decided, even though I was wearing a bra, I would go into some stores to see what caught my interest. Did I say that I am deeply fond of bras? Well, with such a strong love of bras and lingerie, I was irresistibly drawn into a woman s store and headed over to the lingerie department, where I looked at the bras and camisoles. 25

When a clerk asked whether she could help me find something, I told her that I was looking for a bra and pantyset for my girlfriend s birthday. The clerk said she was proud of me because I was not afraid to shop for a bra and panties, as most men wouldn t have the nerve to do so. The clerk asked what size bra I was looking for. I told her that I was not sure of her bra-size, but that she was my size and weight. The clerk replied, Well, because you re brave enough to shop for lingerie, may I suggest that you take several bras into the fitting-room and try them on? If the bras fit you, I m sure they will fit her. As she was saying that, she held up a 38-C bra to my chest and remarked, Exactly as I thought; I think this size bra will fit her, but go try it on, just to be sure? With trembling hands, I took the bras from her and headed for the fitting-room. With a stash of bras and panties, I went to the register to pay for my items. There were no other customers present at the moment, so the clerk turned to me and said, Before you pay for these bra and panty- sets, I have one other idea to make sure they are the right fit for your girlfriend. To make your girlfriend really happy, please take this bra to the fitting-room and put it on again. When you have the bra on, call me and I will come and check how it fits. 26

Wow, how lucky could I be to get to try on my own bra in a store? When I had the bra on, I called for the clerk. She appeared, carrying two small boxes, saying she had something inside them to give the bra the perfect fit. With that comment, she reached into the boxes, grabbing two silicone objects, explaining that they were 36-C, bra-inserts. She slipped the inserts into my bra. Wow, what a difference those inserts made in my bra! Suddenly, I felt feminine, like a woman with real breasts in her bra. Regardless of my feeling, I was stunned when the clerk suggested that I keep the bra on to get an idea of how my girlfriend will feel, wearing such a sexy bra. I told her that wearing a bra with inserts would certainly draw the attention of everyone I passed. The clerk replied that no one would even give a second thought to the fact that I was wearing a bra, if I looked like a girl. I told her that wearing a bra did not make my face look like a girl s face. The clerk was not to be discouraged, from getting me to wear the bra. Keep the bra on and wait right here, she instructed. 27

I stood in the fitting-room, looking in the mirror, admiring my new bra. If the clerk only knew that these bras were for me, not for my girlfriend, what would she say? While I was still admiring my bra, the clerk returned with a cosmetic-bag. She told me to keep the bra on and put on my blouse, then she asked me how it was that I was wearing a blouse. I had concealed my other bra in a shopping bag that I had with me. I was not ready to tell her, or anyone else, that I wore blouses because I wore bras underneath, so I told her that my mother thought that, because of my small stature, blouses looked better on me than shirts. She accepted that explanation, so I did not have to confess that I love to wear bras. The clerk told me that if I didn t object, she could alter my appearance enough so that I could wear the bra out and I would not attract attention, as a guy wearing a bra. I replied that I was ready for whatever she thought was necessary, so I could wear the bra with the breastforms, if that s what she thought I should do. While she was working her magic on me, and I was admiring my new bra, she told me that I could have the breastforms, for free, because someone had returned them and they were not allowed to sell used breastforms. 28

The clerk skillfully applied makeup to my face lipstick and all making me look so feminine that I would not have to worry about wearing a nicely padded-bra in public. I thought she was done, but again she told me that she had something else to go with my bra and blouse. She came back in a couple of minutes with a pair of women s jeans and sandals, saying they would be the perfect items to go with my bra and blouse. I knew she was right, because if I was going to wear a padded-bra and makeup, I couldn t go out of the store wearing boy s jeans and shoes. I paid the clerk and thanked her for picking out such a nice bra for my girlfriend and for getting me jeans and shoes that I could wear, so I would not look like a boy. She smiled at me and said, Girlfriend, you look fantastic, so enjoy your sexy new bras and panties, and when you need some more, come back to see me. I was floating on the clouds, feeling the bounce of my breastinserts in my bra, walking through the Mall in broad daylight. As I passed a group of boys, they whistled at me, apparently lusting my feminine-shape, which the padded-bra and makeup gave me. A feminine flood-of-emotions ran through my body, as I pondered that I was now dressed as a girl, wearing a bra, Cami, panties, women s jeans, sandals and full makeup. Being dressed as a woman, wearing a bra, blouse and jeans was a dream-cum-true. 29

I hated the thought that I would soon have to go home and take off the makeup, jeans, panties, blouse and bra, so I stayed at the Mall until my feet hurt. When I left the house to go shopping, my mother knew I was wearing a bra and blouse, but what would she think if I came home looking like a girl? I could go back home, wearing a bra, but dressed as I was now, not only wearing a bra, but looking totally like a girl, was another thing and I didn t want to freak out my mother. I decided to call Mom to see how she would react if I came home wearing more feminine items than just my bra and blouse. I told her how I just couldn t resist buying myself some bras and explained what happened in the store. To my surprise, Mom said she would love to see how I looked with something more than just a bra under my blouse. Instead of being in fear of her reaction, at seeing me wearing more than a bra and blouse, I was now looking forward to letting Mom see me in my new feminine-mode. When I arrived at home, Mom was waiting for me at the door, but instead of asking to see all the new bras I bought, she just stood and stared at me in amazement. Mom told me that when she first discovered that I wore bras, she thought I might have a stronger-than-usual feminine-streak in me, but now she was convinced that I truly enjoyed looking feminine. Mom asked, Instead of just wearing a bra and blouse, wouldn t you love to look as feminine as this every day? 30

I confessed to Mom, that I would truly enjoy that more than just wearing a bra. Mom said that if I followed her advice, on how to slowly change my appearance, I would soon be looking more feminine, wearing feminine clothes and makeup, in public, instead of just wearing bras and blouses. Mom told me that I had about 4 more hours to enjoy my new appearance and the sexy feeling of the breast-inserts bouncing in my bra, before my sister and father would be home. I enjoyed the next four hours more than any of my times wearing a bra, in boy-mode. Before it was time for me to change for dinner, Mom came up with a plan to introduce my feminine-side to my sister and father, allowing me to remain in my new girl-mode with my new bra and inserts. Mom told me to keep on the new bra, with the thinner blouse and the women s jeans, shoes and makeup. She said that when my sister or father asked why I was dressed as a girl, and why I was wearing a bra which could be seen through my blouse, she would explain what happened at the store. My sister was the first to arrive home and I wondered how long it would take for her to make comments about me looking like a girl and ask what size bra I was wearing. As soon as she walked into the kitchen and saw me, the music began, as she asked Mom, Why is Terry dressed as a girl and what size is her bra? 31

As promised, Mom explained that I went to the Mall to buy some lingerie for my girlfriend s birthday and that the clerk suggested I try on a bra to ensure that the bra would fit my girlfriend, as I had told her that my girlfriend was my size, and that the clerk suggested I wear the bra for a while, to experience how my girlfriend would feel, wearing this bra. Mom explained that once I had the bra on, there were too many women around, so I couldn t come out of the fittingroom as a boy. She continued to explain that the clerk told me to stay in the fitting room and keep the bra on and she would return and with a little magic, make me look like a girl. When my father got home, Mom took him aside and to prevent me from being embarrassed, she told him that I was dressed as a girl bra, blouse and makeup and why I was dressed that way. She told my father about my experience in the store, adding that when I got home I looked so nice that she thought it would be nice if I could look like that for the rest of the evening and then, when my sister got home, she could see the bra and tell me whether she thought that my girlfriend would like the bra. 32

Mom s story seemed to satisfy my father and with that explanation, he was not shocked or puzzled to see his son dressed as a girl, including a padded-bra and makeup. As we were eating dinner, my sister couldn t resist remarking, Terry, I think it s brave of you to wear a bra, just to experience what girls have to wear, but I must admit, the makeup and fem-slacks give you a convincing feminine-look. My father couldn t sit there and say nothing, so he said, Yes, you re brave, but where did you get the silicone breastinserts? They really make you look convincingly feminine. Repeating again that I was at the Mall to buy some bras for my girlfriend, Mom added, Well, it just so happens that the clerk in the store gave Terry a pair of breastforms to fit in her bra, didn t I tell you that? I couldn t believe that Mom just said that I had breastforms for my bra, even though she tried to cover her Freudian-slip by changing her comment to his girlfriend s bra. My father said that he once dressed as a woman for Halloween, so he was hardly in a position to criticize me for wearing a bra and looking like a girl. Dad added, Looking that passable as a girl, can we expect that next time you go shopping for bras, you won t get caught in the same predicament, but will go to the Mall dressed as a girl right from the start? I think that Dad just gave me an invitation or permission I don t know which - for me to dress up as a girl and wear my padded-bra again, anytime I chose. 33

I wondered whether I should try wearing a bra for dinner, the next day, but this time, instead of trying to make sure that my bra-outline was not visible, I could wear a bra under my blouse without such fear. I could hardly wait for that moment and thought about wearing my bra, with a sheer blouse, for dinner after church on Sunday. I told Mom that I would like to wear a bra and sheer blouse, for Sunday dinner and she agreed. As soon as we got home from church, Mom rushed me upstairs to look for the right bra to wear for this wonderful occasion. Mom decided that I should wear a black bra, knowing that black was one of my dad s favorite colors, whenever she asked him which bra to wear for an evening out. Mom remembered that I wanted to wear a sheer blouse, so she got out quite a sheer black blouse for me to wear a blouse which was very feminine. Mom had been holding back this blouse from me, for just such a special occasion. And thinking that my dad asked whether he would see me again, dressed as a girl, Mom thought it would be alright to make me look feminine, even more feminine than I looked when I came home from the Mall, when I went bra-shopping the first time. In addition to the bra and sexy blouse, she told me to wear my panties, women s jean and heels. My mother squealed with delight, when she saw how feminine I looked, with my bra showing through my blouse. She hugged me and asked whether I felt as feminine as my bra, with breast-inserts, made me look. I assured her that indeed, the inserts in my bra made me feel truly feminine, and that pleased her. 34

Mom told me that before I go down to dinner and have my sister and father stare at my bra, she had to apply makeup on me and give my hair a feminine-style, otherwise, I would not look like a girl, but merely like an effeminate boy, wearing a bra. After Mom was done with my makeup, she announced, Terry, the more I see you wearing bras, especially with inserts, and now looking like a beautiful girl, the more I think that you were born more feminine than masculine. You really glow when you wear a bra, because bras bring out the femininity in you; now let s go down and let your father and sister see how sweet you look. Thrilled that I was now able to let my father and sister see me dressed again, as a girl, wearing a padded-bra and sexy blouse, I went downstairs to the dining room. My Mom was right behind me and as my father looked up, Mom announced, Well Honey, you asked whether we would see Terry again, dressed as a girl when she returned to the Mall for more bras, but she thought she didn t want to keep you and Sis waiting that long. Father was stunned and just stared at me, seeing his son dressed as a girl, padded-bra and all and with his eyes still wide in amazement he said, Well, it looks like you didn t want to wait to shop for bras again until you could enjoy looking so cute. 35

Then my sister spoke, commenting on the appearance my bra, makeup and feminine clothes gave me. Terry, don t you know that if you are wearing such a sheer blouse, you should be wearing a Cami, so that the bra isn t so visible? Mom interjected, Terry knows that, but tonight she wanted to flaunt her bra, to get your and dad s true reaction. My sister replied, I must admit that your bra showing through your blouse makes you look very sexy. I hope that the bras will make your girlfriend look that sexy. My sister seemed to suspect that my bra-shopping, for my girlfriend, was a cover, instead of the truth. I think that she sensed that my story was an excuse for me to buy some bras, but not for my girlfriend and that she suspected, as did Mom, that my disposition leaned a lot more to my feminine side than to the masculine. This thought was confirmed when she said, Terry, I have to say that you look quite sexy wearing that bra. In the past, I sometimes thought that I saw the outline of a bra under your shirts. And when Mom got you the blouses, I was firmly convinced that you were wearing a bra underneath them, but I didn t want to embarrass you by asking you about it. But for tonight, wearing that sexy bra, blouse, women s jeans and heels, I must say that you look fabulous - more like a Teri Lynn, than Terry! Anytime that you want to look like Teri Lynn, you have my blessing and don t ever worry about the outline of your bra showing. 36

After dinner, Mom told me how proud she was that I was not afraid to wear my bra with the inserts under my sheer blouse, to show off my bra, but that she was even happier that I was willing to let Dad and Sis see me again in girl-mode. She told me that Dad was really taken by the feminine appearance I got by wearing the padded-bra, sheer blouse and makeup. Mom also said that from now on, I should feel free to wear a bra with or without a Cami, at home, because I no longer had to be concerned how my sister or father would react if they noticed my bra. I smiled and assured her that soon we would have to go to the Mall to get me some more bras, as I would be wearing them at every opportunity sometimes in public, but always at home. It was Thanksgiving and Mom told me that it would be a great opportunity for me to dress up again with a nice bra and sheer blouse, making a statement to my Dad that looking and feeling feminine was something I enjoyed, even without a challenge to look that way. Mom suggested, that because as a family we always dress nice for Thanksgiving dinner, that I should think about wearing something very feminine - more than just a bra and sheer blouse. I was nervous about what Mom had in mind, but inwardly pleased at her suggestion. 37

I asked Mom what she had in mind that I should wear, in addition to a bra and blouse. Mom told me that we should go to the Mall to buy some more bras and other lingerie and see what else strikes my fancy. Mom told me to get dressed for some feminine-shopping, explaining that I should look like I did when I came home from the Mall last time, with my padded-bra and makeup on. After I had put on my bra, Mom came in with her makeup and transformed my face so I looked like a lovely teenage girl, then we left for the Mall. After we had bought an assortment of bras and lingerie, Mom steered me over to the women s slacks. A pair of these black slacks would make you look so much nicer with your padded-bra and sheer blouse. I agreed to wear the slacks for Thanksgiving, along with my now usual bra and blouse. With bras and several slacks in hand, we headed for the makeup counter. Because I was now so often wearing inserts in my bras, Mom thought that my face needed to look feminine, to enhance my feminine feelings. Besides, she told me that it s not realistic for me to look like a boy and let my dad and sister see me in boy-mode, while I was wearing my sexy bras and blouses. She pointed out that it would be much easier for my dad and sister to accept my femininity and see me wearing bras, if I looked like a girl, instead of a boy. That day, besides new bras, I got a complete supply of makeup. 38

As soon as we got home, Mom sat me down and said, Alright honey, it s time to find out that being a girl is more than just wearing a bra, so I m going to teach you how to do your makeup. While doing the makeup lessons, Mom had me remove my bra so that I would not stain it with the makeup. After several demonstrations, Mom told me that she wanted me to try putting on my own makeup, but very lightly, then put my bra and blouse back on. I knew what she was up to when she told me to apply a light coat of makeup and put on my bra and blouse. Yes, she wanted me to look more feminine, for dinner, than I had looked for the past several months, with just a bra and blouse on and besides, she was thinking ahead to the following week and our Thanksgiving dinner. Thanksgiving is a big occasion for us and tonight, for Thanksgiving dinner, Mom would be looking nicer than usual and I would be looking very feminine, my hair brushed into a feminine style, wearing makeup, a padded-bra, blouse, women s slacks and heels. So that I would look very feminine for our special dinner, Mom selected one of my sexier bras, then helped me select a nice blouse and slacks. And, as long as I was looking so feminine, with my paddedbra and all, Mom thought it would be important to give me a spritz of her Charlie perfume. 39
