2 This set of powerpoint is prepared to assist students as reference to complete a tutorial assignment under Construction Technology 2. Students are required in the assignment to make a report with description to highlight the structural and construction features of some traditional/historical buildings listed as declared monuments under the Antiquities and Monuments Office of Leisure and Cultural Services Department of Hong Kong. Unfortunately, most of our youngsters nowadays do not have sufficient understanding about buildings constructed using traditional method, for there is only very few buildings of such kind remaining around us. This powerpoint is not prepared just for architectural appreciation purposes. Instead, it tries to classify these historical buildings into various categories with the actual buildings shown by photos. Hoping that a photo worth a thousand words. From this visual aids, students should at least get some basic idea about how these buildings were design and constructed.
