Let s pretend these are faith seeds Say, I trust and follow Jesus and I ll sprinkle these faith seeds into your hearts 2. Help kids chant together, I trust and follow Jesus 3. Shake seeds over kids, and pretend they re landing in their hearts. Ask: When we put a plant seed in the ground, what does it need to grow? 4. Kids respond. Water and sunshine Ask: Right And when we decide to trust and follow Jesus, what does our faith seed need to grow? 1. What helps your faith seed grow? Following Jesus, trusting and believing God, etc. 2. What happens when your faith seed grows big and strong? I obey, help, show love, tell about Jesus, etc. 5. Kids respond. Show Storybook Bible to kids. Say: Look, friends I have a Bible. This has God s words in it. When I read God s Bible and do what it says, my faith seed grows Let s see what it says 3. Read a command from the I Can Obey God List. 4. Model the action. 5. Kids and leaders copy the action. Say: Wow, friends You re good at obeying I think our faith seeds just grew a little bit Let s do some more 6. Repeat steps 4-5 for each command on the I Can Obey God List.
