2 The Studio // What I do In my Studio the craftsman meets the designer on an equal level. Concept and Production are complementing processes wich are commenced in bringing together essence and function in a clear plain design language. The human nature forms a rich source of inspiration for my work resulting in objects that often evoke interaction between the user and space. In my scope an object can become a space (Second Skin 2009), Or a wall can become an object (wardrobe_2013) I aim to challenge our sensorial experience and behaviour in the pursuit of our well being.

3 Wardrobe // coatrack A research exploring the dynamics in geometry, resulting in an system that allows an endless repetition of itself in size and form. The coatrack is constructed of hexagonal blocks transforms a Wall into a Wardrobe or can be built up as a separate space. 5 Balancing // ergonomic stool A stool that balances the position of the body. The object is based on the movement of the spine so that the user subconsciously keeps the body moving. By the ongoing movement the stool corrects the posture of the body and keeps the back muscles flexible. The three blocks are an abstraction of a vertebrae and are made of untreated solid yellow popular wood. 7 Lanterns // lamps In the Japanese culture the use of Washi (paper) is a century old concept. The extraordinary quality of the material is that it reduces the vibration of light and simultaneously the movement of the eye. Due to the soft and comforting appearance of the light the Japanese describe the use of Washi as the Moon in the house. The facetted shape is derived from the first traditional hexagonal Japanese Lanterns. All lamps are supplied with high quality LED.
