Key Formulation Innovation A soft yet rich lip cream with good structure and great ease of application due to the combination of polyethylene, Antaron /Ganex V-216 polymer and ProLipid 141 lamellar gel in an emollient-rich base.

3 Texture Drivers ProLipid 141 lamellar gel Great moisturizer for the lips due to lamellar gel technology which enhances skin s natural barrier function. Antaron /Ganex V-216 polymer Excellent film-former which provides moisture barrier properties. Imparts shine and wear-resistance. Excellent pigment dispersant and suspending agent. Ceraphyl ODS ester, Ceraphyl 847 ester, Ceraphyl 230 ester, Ceraphyl 368 ester, Ceraphyl 50 ester and Ceraphyl 791 ester Combination provides lubricity and emolliency to the lips. Ceraphyl 50 ester is a good dispersing agent for pigments and enhances the creamy texture in lip formulations. Preservative Rokonsal /LiquaPar MEP preservative Combination of short chain parabens and phenoxyethanol providing broad-spectrum protection against microorganisms, can be used in a wide ph range from 3.0 to 7.5. In a stainless steel kettle weigh Ceraphyl ODS ester and Silica. Mix while heating the batch to 80 C. 2. Mix until all clear and no fish eyes. 3. Add Ceraphyl 230 ester, Ceraphyl 847 ester, Dermol PETO-E and Ceraphyl 368 ester, continue to mix. 4. Raise temperature to C while adding the Performalene PL to ensure it is completely melted in the system. 5. Lower temperature back to C and add remaining ingredients of Phase A. 6. Add Phase B and mix for 30 minutes. Check for color dispersion. 7. Add Phase C. Mix. Cool the batch to 70 C and pour. Typical Properties Appearance: Orange creamy smooth lip balm This formula has passed 3-month accelerated lab stabilities and a 28-day challenge efficacy test. However, the preservative system has not been optimized to its lowest effective level.
