3 Installation Options DVD Installation Insert the Easiteach Next Generation DVD into the DVD drive and the install program will automatically start. If the installer does not auto start, open My Computer and navigate to the drive which contains the DVD. Open the drive and double click on setup.exe. Then follow the instructions below, starting with the section Preparing to Install. Website download From the Easiteach Next Generation website, follow the links to the download section, then follow the instructions below, starting with the section Preparing to Install. On an interactive whiteboard When Easiteach Next Generation has been included on an interactive whiteboard, the first time you use the whiteboard, the application will install. 4 Installing Easiteach Next Generation Preparing to Install The first window to display is the Preparing to Install confirmation message. If you do not wish to proceed please select Cancel. Once the installer is prepared you will be presented with the following screen. 5 Licence Agreement Please read the licence summary and select I accept the terms in the licence agreement. If you wish you can print the licence agreement by selecting the Print button. Select the Next button to continue. Custom Setup The Custom Setup window will display. You can choose to install just the application or also include Easiteach Samples. Samples are Easiteach documents which have been designed to demonstrate Easiteach in use across the curriculum and which are available in different languages. You may install Easiteach Samples in as many of the languages as you wish. Ensure the features and the Easiteach Samples that are in languages you do not require are not installed by clicking on the item and selecting the red cross; this feature will not be available. If you require further information on this aspect, select the Help button. Click OK to return to the Custom Setup window. Please note, the Feature Description indicates how much space is required on your hard drive for each feature. If you are unsure of how much space you have available, click the Space button to display the Disk Space Requirements window. 7 Installing Easiteach Next Generation This window displays the progress of the installation. InstallShield Wizard Completed Click Finish to complete the install of Easiteach Next Generation. Easiteach will have installed with a shortcut on your desktop and is available to open by navigating to Start > All Programs > Easiteach Next Generation. 2010, RM Education Plc Page 7 of 14

8 Installing the Easiteach Multimedia Asset Pack Easiteach comes with a wide array of assets including images, video, audio and interactive assets. These assets are installed separately by following the instructions below. Preparing to Install (Multimedia Asset Pack) Once the application has installed the Multimedia Asset Pack will automatically prepare to install. 2010, RM Education Plc Page 8 of 14

11 InstallShield Wizard Completed Click Finish to complete the install of the Multimedia Asset Pack. Uninstalling Easiteach Next Generation To uninstall the application navigate to the Start menu > Control Panel. Select the Add or Remove Programs option. Within the Add or Remove Programs window, select Easiteach Next Generation, so it is highlighted. When highlighted two buttons will display, Change and Remove. Click Remove. 12 Select OK. Several different messages will display, confirming that the removal is taking place and the time to complete this. Once it has uninstalled, Easiteach Next Generation will no longer be present in the Add or Remove Programs display. Please note, this may take some time as there are a considerable amount of assets to remove. 2010, RM Education Plc Page 12 of 14
