Ellen Cremer holds a 500-hr Advanced Teaching Certificate and is also certified to teach Restorative/Therapeutic Yoga. She started teaching in New York City in 2005 and has been offering Beginner and Restorative Yoga in Sonora since Ellen strongly believes in the transformative and healing aspects of Yoga and has inspired many students to move towards a healthier and mindful lifestyle. Jean Wolfgang is a Certified Yoga Instructor with a 200-hour Teaching Certificate. Jean trained under Dorothy Sturtevant at The Gift of Yoga Teacher Training Program in Sonora. She is also certified to teach Kids Yoga and Yoga for Teens. Jean's goal is to share her love of Yoga with others!1

2 through the mindful practice of breathing, body awareness, movement and relaxation. She teaches "Yoga For All" classes at Sol y Breath. Thursday Night Meditation... Beginning July 2nd Sol y Breath will offer free open Meditation at 7pm hosted by the Shambhala Group of Sonora. There will be a 20 minute seated Mediation, 20 minute walking Meditation and another 20 minute seated Mediation. The focus on the Meditation is teaching Fellowship and Dharma. Restorative Yoga Workshop... July 11th 10:00am-12:30pm hosted by Ellen Cremer Restorative Yoga is an ideal practice that gently stretches and opens our bodies to reestablish a healthy posture and release tension from the neck, shoulders and back. Poses are set up with blankets and bolsters to provide comfort and support. Any builtup stress and tension will melt away in these wonderfully soothing, long-held stretches! A combination of breathing exercises, essential oils and hands-on adjustments will further encourage surrender into a deep state of relaxation while gently adjusting the alignment of the spine, neck and shoulders! This class is appropriate for anyone regardless of injuries, age or fitness level. Meditation Workshop..."The Peace You Have Always Wanted" July 11th hosted by Dorothy Sturtevant. Dorothy Sturtevant has been teaching Yoga at Columbia College for 10 years and thoroughly enjoys organizing and teaching the Yoga/Meditation program at the Cal/Berkeley Alumni campground in Pinecrest each summer. 3 She is a Certified Yoga Therapist at the 500 hr. level and has had the good fortune to have studied with internationally known teachers (Judith Lasater, Adhil Pakivala, Rodney Yee and Dr. Ganesh Mohan.) One of her great joys is watching the growth of her students in her Teacher Training Program (200 hour certification). Her The Gift of Yoga school is certified with Yoga Alliance. Food As Medicine... Jul 18th hosted by Dr. Jenee Kautzer Jenee Kautzer is a Naturopathic Doctor. She completed an Undergraduate study in whole food nutrition and has four years experience practicing primary care integrative medicine with a focus on nutrition, botanical medicine and lifestyle modification. Food As Medicine Workshop will explore natural ways to improve energy, mood and metabolism with a whole foods approach. This talk will also cover some herbal remedies for improving mood and energy. Since no single diet is right for everyone this class will help you design a way of eating that is right for your body using traditional wisdom, and modern science as a guide. There will be time set aside for Dr. Jenee to answer questions about nutrition as it applies to various health conditions. The Speaker funds for Dr. Kautzer s workshop will be donated to the Sonora Cat Rescue.!3

4 Massage... July Massage Special $50 for over 50 Yin Yoga Workshop... July 25th hosted by Donna Brewster Donna Brewster, an RYT 200 Yoga Alliance Certified Instructor, trained in Gentle Yoga at Yoga Source Los Gatos under Linda McGrath, Cindy Walker and Matece Skow. Her teaching approach focuses on mindful movement, conscious breath and proper alignment, always honoring the body and encouraging students to find their own "sweet spot" in each asana. She has a passion for yoga, especially for beginners, as she has experienced the healing physical, emotional and mental benefits that come from establishing a yoga practice and wants to share that with others. This workshop is appropriate for all experience levels. Gentle Yoga combines conscious breathing with slow movement into and out of poses, allowing students to enter and hold each pose at the appropriate depth. The gently-held poses, along with simple breathing exercises, help beginning students to immediately enjoy the benefits of yoga, while allowing experienced practitioners to enjoy a mindful, slow-paced practice. Yin Yoga is a quiet practice, composed primarily floor poses, using props, soothing music and inspirational readings to allow students to relax the muscles, encouraging a deep stretch of connective tissues. As energy meridians throughout the body are gently stimulated, stress is released and there is a deep opening of the body. Each pose is held for several minutes with muscles completely relaxed, encouraging the joints and connective tissues to become more pliable and resilient. This practice is an excellent for cross-training with other, more vigorous styles of yoga.!4
