2 ENTRY-LEVEL LAW ENFORCEMENT STATE CORRECTION OFFICER RECRUIT The current administration (symbol S9988T) announced on December 4, 2014 and the closing date is January 29, The exam is tentatively projected to be administered in March/April Candidates will be notified of their specific test date when examination notices are mailed, two to three weeks prior to the test date. POLICE SERGEANT 2013 Police Sergeant Consent Decree Results For the 11 jurisdictions with priority promotion lists (Atlantic City, East Orange, Elizabeth, Hoboken, Jersey City, New Brunswick, Newark, Passaic, Paterson, Teaneck and Trenton), regular eligible lists will not be issued until all required priority promotions have been made. For this reason, only priority promotion lists were issued for these jurisdictions on August 6, Test scores were issued to all candidates, but only priority promotion candidates received individual rankings. Rankings for the nonpriority promotion candidates will not be made available until regular eligible lists are issued. Our method of disseminating information to all interested parties (candidates, appointing authorities, and unions) is to advise them to visit the CSC s website, under Public Safety Testing News, to view the most up-to-date status report on police promotional testing schedules. When there is something new to report, the website status will be updated. We anticipate issuing an orientation guide well in advance of the test administration.
