Correspondence must be through your HVCC webmail account. No Exception. All three parts must be completed and completed correctly. Incomplete and incorrectly completed forms will be returned. PART I Please answer the questions regarding your academic and future endeavors. The answers you provide will become part of your physical record. Indicate the courses you have taken with a grade of A, B, C, and D. Also indicate the courses you are currently taking. Report midterm grades if available (A, B, C, D, and F). The semester taken column should have the term (Fall (FA), Intersession (IN), Spring (SP), or Summer (SU)) and year. PART III Complete the course advisement form except AVN. You will need to indicate the course(s) you are planning to take for this upcoming term. Make sure to indicate if the course has a lab or not. You should reference the academic planning sheet for the sequence of courses you should be taking. If you choose not to follow the prescribed sequence, you will need to provide an explanation to why and map out your new sequence. Changing the sequence you take courses can affect when you graduate. 5 The A.S. Forensic Science Studies program is designed to prepare students to transfer into a Forensic Science bachelor s degree program. A bachelor s degree or higher is required for many positions in Forensic Science. The majority of four year institutions require calculus based physics in their Bachelor of Science degree programs. It is highly recommended that all students in the Forensic Science program complete PHYS 150 General Physics I and PHYS 151 General Physics II. Calculus is a degree requirement you must complete for graduation. (1) Depending on a student s mathematical background and comfort level there are different sequences of math course one may take to complete the calculus requirement. It is suggested that students that need a refresher in algebra or are not comfortable with their algebra skills take MATH 150 College Algebra and Trigonometry prior to taking MATH 160 Precalculus. All students are required to take MATH 160 Precalculus as the prerequisite to MATH 180 Calculus.
