8 What do Users say about Back App? After selling chairs Prognett AS sent a questionnaire to 605 persons who had bought Back App. The survey had 278 approved replies, (almost 50%). It left the following conclusions. Where do you use Back App? Most users use Back App in the office (more than 69%). 11% bought another Back App to use at home. Can you sit on Back App the whole day? 39,6 % said that they choose Back App all the time when they choose to sit. This proves that it is possible to use Back App as the only chair in the office after a period of training. Why do people buy Back App? Surprisingly many said that they bought the chair to prevent diseases, for exercise and ensure correct seating. 64 % said that they bought the chair because they had problems in the back/neck or hip regions. 9 When you are sitting on Back App you train and strengthen the muscles that support the spine. You get stronger and your body functions properly. To optimize the stabilizing of the spine relative to the pelvis, interaction between the lower abdominal muscles, the deep spine muscles and the pelvis muscles (parts of the spinal balance system) is needed. These form a natural corset and help to create pressure inside the abdomen that further supports the back. In preventive training of the back or after a spinal injury we want to stimulate the spinal balance system. The reactive and stabilizing capacity of the muscles are essential to prevent stress or damage on the fragile structures of the back. The Back App chair has been constructed with this in mind. These balance systems will be optimally challenged on a daily basis. Weather in a job situation or in relaxation, sitting on the Back App will constantly stimulate your back to increase your balance ability. The Back App has a springy function in the seat stem and a damping material in the seat, which together make it gentle towards the pelvis and lower back. Sitting on Back App, your feet are not fixed to the floor and the chair tilts gently around a central axis when you move.
