2 PARTS LIST 1 S-FLO Carbon airbox 1 S-FLO Air filter 3 Mounting grommet 6 M5 x 20mm Button head bolt 1 Foam gasket Required Tools: T-25 Torx Phillips head screwdriver Step 1 Remove the four T-25 Torx screws at arrows in Figure 1 and remove the upper half of the plastic inlet duct. Step 2 Figure 1 Unclip the hose, at arrow in Figure 2, and remove the lower half of the plastic inlet duct. Figure 1 2

3 Step 3 Remove hose at Arrow A in Figure 3. If vehicle is equipped with a secondary air pump, a hose will be present at Arrow B in Figure 3. If this hose is present, an AWE Tuning Breather Filter, sold separately, will be required. Remove hose at Arrow B in Figure 3. See Step 6. B A Step 4 Loosen both hose clamps from the factory intake tube, at arrows in Figure 4, and remove the hose. Figure 3 Step 5 Pull straight up on the factory intake to pop it loose from the three pins holding it in place, shown at arrows in Figure 5. Figure 4 Figure 5 3

4 Step 6 For secondary air pump equipped cars: Figure 6 Install the AWE Tuning Breather Filter, sold separately, to the secondary air pump intake hose, at Arrow A in Figure 6. Next, zip tie the hose to an intake mount, as shown at Arrow B in Figure 6. B A Step 7 Install the supplied rubber grommets into the bottom of the lower section of the AWE Tuning S-FLO intake. Install the lower assembly into the engine bay by pressing the intake grommets onto the three posts. Install the supplied foam gasket into the lower airbox groove, at arrow in Figure 7. Figure 7 Step 8 Install the AWE Tuning S-FLO air filter onto the carbon fiber tube of the airbox and tighten the clamp, at arrow in Figure 8, to secure the filter in place. Figure 8 4

5 Step 9 Re-install the factory intake tube and tighten the factory hose clamps. Install the airbox lid by using the supplied allen head bolts. Be sure not to over tighten the bolts as doing so could cause the carbon fiber to crack. Re-attach the rubber vent tube to the nipple on the AWE Tuning intake tube, at arrow in Figure 9. Figure 9 ENJOY Remove the top lid allen head bolts to inspect the air filter element every 25,000 miles for integrity. Clean every 50,000 miles under normal operating conditions, sooner in dusty conditions. Contact AWE Tuning to purchase a filter maintenance kit. Limited Warranty The following warranty is valid only in the United States. The Manufacturer s full warranty applies to all products sold. Secor Ltd. (AWE Tuning) warrants to the original retail purchaser (Consumer) this product (2015+ VW GTI, Golf R/Audi A3 2.0T, S3 S-FLO Carbon Intake), from date of original purchase, against manufacturing defects for: ONE YEAR Upon verification of warranty coverage, AWE Tuning will repair or replace the defective product at their discretion, without charge. This is the only remedy the Consumer has for any loss or damage, however arising, due to nonconformity in or defect of the product. This warranty does not cover consequential damage, loss of time or revenues, labor costs, shipping costs, inconvenience, loss of use of vehicle, damage to the vehicle or components, or other incidental or indirect damage. All warranties are void if the product was not installed by a certified auto mechanic, improperly serviced, modified, or used in a way not intended by the Manufacturer. Use of product in Motorsports or Racing conditions is grounds for warranty denial. Motorsports and Racing is an inherently abusive operational condition, and it is impossible to warranty for this type of usage. The Consumer is responsible for ensuring that the product is installed in a safe and proper manner, and should cease usage of the product immediately if an unsafe or improper condition is noted. If an unsafe or improper condition is noted, the Consumer should then immediately contact the facility where the product was installed or AWE Tuning directly. Please contact the original place of purchase for any warranty claims or explanations of this document. 6
