2 Free Standing Kiosk

3 IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTE Before beginning work on the Xbox One kiosk: Locate the two locks on the back of the standing kiosk and use the access key to unlock the cabinet. Open the cabinet door, and locate the power strip at the bottom of the kiosk. Turn off the glowing yellow switch to disable power to the kiosk.

4 Xbox One Console Removal Access the console by using the provided access key to unlock both sides of the base deck drawer Disconnect the cables from the back of the Xbox One console. Disconnect the USB extender from the left side. It is now free to remove. Carefully slide the drawer outward to reveal the Xbox One console. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the two screws holding the security brackets in place. Set aside in a safe place to replace later.

5 Xbox One Console Installation Place the new Xbox One console in the drawer. When reconnecting the Xbox One console to the cables in the kiosk drawer, they should be inserted in the places specified below. Be sure to insert the green USB stick into the USB extender before closing the drawer. This piece is responsible for locking down the demo experience. 5 Secure the Xbox One console in place using the security brackets installed in the kiosk and pictured below. Use a Phillips screwdriver to tighten the theft guards. After reconnecting the cables behind the Xbox One console, be sure to connect the white USB extender to the left side USB port. 6 Close the base deck drawer and lock both sides with the access key. TIP: When closing the base deck drawer, make sure the HDMI signal displays on the TV before locking everything up. The cable sometimes comes loose when the drawer is closed.

6 Xbox One Controllers Removal Rapid Part #: SV-0000 Follow the steps outlined under Xbox One Console to gain access to the console drawer. On the back of the Xbox One console, disconnect the USB cables belonging to the Xbox One Controllers. They are next to the Kinect cable. From the front of the kiosk, locate the Phillips screw that is securing the Xbox One Controller to the Controller Bar. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the screw and set aside. Using your access key, unlock the rear kiosk cabinet by unlocking the two locks on the back. 5 To remove the controller from the kiosk, gently pull on the controller cable beginning at the bottom of the kiosk. Once the controller cable is through the bottom hole, begin gently pulling from the front of the kiosk to feed the cable through. Set the controller aside. Repeat steps 5 for the other controller if needed. A) Pull from bottom first B) Pull from front second

7 Xbox One Controllers Installation Rapid Part #: SV-0000 Locate the coiled controller in your installation kit. 5 Once the p-clip is secured, finish routing the controller cable through the hole located at the bottom of the kiosk. Reach underneath the kiosk from the front and place the controller USB cable in the base deck drawer. 6 On the back of the Xbox One console, connect the USB cables belonging to the Xbox One Controllers in the USB ports next to the Kinect cable. Route the USB end of the controller cable into the front hole under the controller bar on the kiosk. Feed the cable back through the kiosk until the pclip pulls even with the nd screw holding the controller basket in place. It is the one closest to the kiosk. (See above image for reference.) Using the Phillip s screwdriver, remove the screw called out in step and place it through the p-clip Secure the p-clip and controller basket back to the kiosk by re-attaching the screw to the controller bar.

8 Xbox One Power Supply Rapid Part #: X The Xbox One Power Supply is located in the rear kiosk cabinet, closer to the bottom of the back panel. Look for the black cardboard backing. The Power Supply is located right underneath the elabs Media Player and is held in place by two zip ties. 6 7 Pull the cable up through the back of the kiosk cabinet, and disconnect the power plug from the right side of the Power Supply. Carefully slide the Power Supply out through the left side of the zip ties. The Power Supply has two parts that run to two different locations: A) The adapter that plugs into the back of the console goes through the hole at the bottom of the kiosk and into the Xbox One console in the bottom drawer. 8 9 Slide the new Power Supply into the zip ties, and reconnect the power plug. Run the adapter through the hole at the bottom right of the kiosk cabinet. Feed it through to the back of the Xbox One console. B) The power plug runs to the power strip at the bottom of the kiosk. In most cases, replacing a power brick will not require the power plug to be replaced. Follow the directions on how to access the Xbox One console found on page. 5 Once you have access to the bottom kiosk drawer, remove the A/C adapter from the rear of the console: 0 Using step 5 for reference, plug in the adapter to the back of the Xbox One console to complete installation.

9 HDMI Cable Rapid Part #: X To replace an HDMI cable, first follow steps - on page to make the process as easy as possible. There are two HDMI cables installed on the kiosk: The HDMI cable will come out underneath the kiosk rack on the front side of the kiosk. Gently feed the HDMI cable through the front of the kiosk rack and set it aside. 6 A) The HDMI cable that goes to the USB Media Player. This cable will be clearly visible in the back cabinet, connecting to the USB Media Player. B) The HDMI cable that goes to the Xbox One console. This cable will run down the length of the back cabinet, and disappears through one of the cable holes to the base deck drawer below. For best results, determine which cable needs to be replaced and begin at either the console or media player end. A) To access the media player, refer to directions on how to access the back cabinet on page. The media player is mounted inside the back cabinet. 7 B) To access the Xbox One console, refer to the directions on page. Disconnect the HDMI cable from the device, and feed it up to the top of the back cabinet of the kiosk Inside the back cabinet of the kiosk, there are two holes at the top of the cabinet. The HDMI cables will be run through the hole on the right. 0 To install a new HDMI cable, reverse the steps listed to the left. Begin by feeding the HDMI cable underneath the kiosk rack, and through the right side hole in the back cabinet of the kiosk. Run the HDMI cable to the appropriate device and plug it into the HDMI port. Follow the instructions on page to place the TV back on the kiosk rack and attach the A/C adapter and HDMI cables. Lock up the back cabinet and base deck drawer (if applicable) before leaving the store. Ensure power is switched on to the kiosk.

10 Flat Screen TV Rapid Part #: 99-CP0 While looking behind the TV from the side, push the security bar backwards. This bar prevents the TV from being easily removed. Next, remove the A/C adapter and HDMI cable(s) from the TV. They are accessible from the left and right sides, respectively. The TV is now free to remove. Lift up and toward you to take the TV off of the kiosk rack. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the green mounting piece off of the defective TV. 5 Line up the green mounting piece with the holes on the replacement TV. Using a Phillips screwdriver, reattach the mounting piece using the screws. 6 Line up the four hooks on the green mounting piece with the kiosk rack. It should lock into place. 7 Once the TV is secure on the kiosk rack, reconnect the A/C Adapter and HDMI cables. (See step ) 8 To complete installation of the new TV, slide the green security bar forwards, toward the TV. 12 IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTE Before beginning work on the Xbox One kiosk: Remove the base deck magnet to reveal the base deck cabinet. Using the provided access key, unlock the base deck cabinet on the left & right sides. Slowly open the base deck and guide the drawer all the way down until its fully open. With the base deck open, locate the power strip on the left side and turn it off.

13 Xbox One Console Removal Remove the base deck magnet to reveal the base deck cabinet. Using the provided access key, unlock the base deck cabinet on the left & right sides. Slowly open the base deck and guide the drawer all the way down until its fully open. Locate the Xbox One console that is sitting on the base deck. Remove all cables from the back of the console, and the system will be free to remove.

14 Xbox One Console Installation Position the new Xbox One console into the base deck. Please make sure the console is placed horizontally on the bottom shelf, not on its side. 5 Power on the Xbox One console by gently pressing the Xbox Logo on the front right part of the console. 6 Ensure Xbox is displaying a picture on the TV before wrapping up the installation. If the console is powered on but there is no signal to the TV, please check to make sure the HDMI cable has not come loose during the installation. Plug the USB extender into USB port on the left side of the Xbox One console. Locate the USB stick and insert it into the loose end of the USB extender. Close the base deck drawer and lock both sides using the enclosed Access Key. 5 Reinstall the Magnetic Xbox Graphic Panel. Secure the loose connection cables to the new Xbox One console. Double check to make sure all connections are plugged in properly. Reinstall the Magnetic Xbox Graphic Panel. Bottom of graphic should not stick out past the base deck. Once the console is secure, restore power to the kiosk by turning the power strip back on.

15 Xbox One Controllers Removal Rapid Part #: SV-0000 See Page for instructions on accessing the Xbox One console. Begin by removing the controller cable from the back of the Xbox One console. 5 Once wing nut and p clip have been removed and set aside, carefully pull controller wire out through the front cable hole. Remove the magnet graphic from the kiosk to reveal the green panel behind it. * Please note the left and right location of the graphics for re-assembly. Using a # Phillips screwdriver, remove the screws holding the metal plates in place. Set the screws and plates aside in a safe place for re-assembly. Locate the p clip secured with a wing nut just inside the panel opening. Un-screw the wing nut and remove the controller cable from the p clip.

16 Xbox One Controllers Installation Rapid Part #: SV-0000 Begin installation of the controller with headset by feeding the USB cable through the front cable hole. Secure the controller cable to the kiosk by placing the p clip onto the bolt behind the open panel. Complete installation by installing the wing nut. Run the USB cable down into the base deck. Complete the installation of the controller by connecting the USB end of the controller to the back of the Close the base deck drawer and lock it up using your access key. Replace the Base Deck Magnet before leaving.

17 Xbox One Power Supply Rapid Part #: X See Page for instructions on accessing the Xbox One console. 6 Locate the new power supply. Reconnect the power plug to the brick. The Power Supply for the Xbox One console is located inside the base deck cabinet with the console. 7 To complete installation of the new power supply, reconnect the A/C adapter to the rear of the console. (See step for reference) 8 Close the base deck drawer and lock it up using your access key. Replace the Base Deck Magnet before leaving. The Power Supply has two parts that run to two different locations: A) The main power brick has an adapter that plugs into the back of the Xbox One console. B) The power plug connects to the power brick, and plugs into the power strip. In most cases, replacing a power brick will not require the power plug to be replaced. Once you have access to the bottom kiosk drawer, remove the A/C adapter from the rear of the console: 5 Disconnect the power plug from the power brick. The power supply is now free to remove from the kiosk.

18 HDMI Cable Rapid Part #: X To replace an HDMI cable, first follow steps -7 on page 9 to make the process as easy as possible. There are two HDMI cables installed on the kiosk: A) The HDMI cable that goes to the USB Media Player. This cable plugs in behind the right panel of the kiosk. B) The HDMI cable that goes to the Xbox One console. This cable is easily accessed through the base deck cabinet. 5 6 For best results, determine which cable needs to be replaced and begin at either the console or media player end. A) To access the media player, remove the magnetic graphic on the right side of the kiosk. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the green panel. The media player is located directly behind the panel. B) To access the Xbox One console, refer to the directions on page. Disconnect the HDMI cable from the device, and feed it up through the space between the mounting racks. Remove the HDMI cable from the kiosk and set aside. Run the new HDMI cable through the space between the mounting racks, and to the device that needs to be connected. Leave the TV end of the HDMI cable on the outside of the kiosk. Follow steps -9 on page 0 to complete installation of the HDMI cable.

19 Flat Screen TV Removal Rapid Part #: 99-CP0 To remove the TV from the kiosk rack, begin by removing the security bar from behind the TV. To do this, use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws holding the black security bar to the kiosk rack. These screws are on both sides behind the TV. 5 Disconnect the red and black fuse cable that is running from behind the TV to the white fuse grid inside the open panel. This will prevent the TV from getting caught on the fuse cable when you remove it. Set the security bar as well as the two screws aside. 6 Disconnect all HDMI cables and the TV s A/C adapter from the back of the TV. Remove the left magnet graphic from the kiosk to reveal the green panel behind it. 7 **REQUIRES PEOPLE** Carefully lift up and toward you to remove the TV from the kiosk rack. Feed the HDMI cable through the circular hole below the TV before completely removing. Using a # Phillips screwdriver, remove the screws holding the metal plates in place. Set the screws and plate aside in a safe place for re-assembly. 8 Using a large size Phillips screwdriver, remove the screws holding the mounting piece to the TV. 9 Set pieces aside to install new TV with.

20 Flat Screen TV Installation Rapid Part #: 99-CP0 Using a large size Phillips screwdriver, attach the mounting piece to the back of the new TV. Be sure to utilize the third hole down from the top of the 5 Locate the red and black fuse cable that was fed between the mounting racks in step. Plug it into the fuse grid behind the left panel opening. mounting piece for best results. 6 Using a Phillips screwdriver, replace the green panel. **REQUIRES PEOPLE** Once the mounting piece is attached, lift up the TV and feed the HDMI cable through the circular hole in the acrylic below the TV. Also feed the red and black fuse cable through the opening between the mounting racks. 7 Replace the magnetic graphic onto the green panel. Place the TV onto the mounting racks on the Xbox One kiosk. The TV should sit securely. Reconnect the HDMI cables and the TV s A/C adapter to the back of the TV. 8 9 Replace the security bar referenced on page 9, step. Use a Phillips screwdriver to secure the security bar to the kiosk. Restore power to the kiosk and lock up the base deck cabinet. Replace the base deck graphic, and ensure the Xbox One is functioning correctly before completing installation.
