We are looking forward to meeting you and your child. The following letter will give you information about our staff and our goals for your children this coming school year. My name is Barbara Baratelli and I am the Infant Room Supervisor. I work along with Kristine McKuhan. This September will be our seventh year working together in the Infant Room! We both are dedicated moms. We love working with babies and look forward to the upcomin g school year full of caring, affection and stimulation for your child. Welcome to the Blooming Butterflies Dear Parents, Hello and welcome to the Blooming Butterflies class! My name is Miss Lisa and my assistant will be Miss Kwi, for the school year. I have been with B.E.S.T. Learning Center since 2005 and Miss Kwi since We are both Moms, too, and enjoy nurturing and caring for children. We are very excited and anticipate having a fun filled year! Our daily schedule will aim to meet the needs of each student as an individual. Play time, nap time and eating times will be centered on your child's personal schedule. Each child will have two snack times and one lunchtime during the day. Please remember to label everything with your child s first and last name! You will be notified throughout the year when supplies run low. 6 (This is the Welcome Letter and Supply List for our Toddler Room, room 11, for toddlers from approximately 15 months 19 months.) The Tiny Tigers Toddlers We would like to welcome everyone to the 2011/2012 school year at B.E.S.T. Learning Center. Our toddler room name is the Tiny Tigers! We are very excited to meet and get to know your child throughout the year. There will be two teachers: Miss Katie and Miss Kim, and one assistant teacher, Miss Randi, assigned to the toddler room this year. Miss Katie has worked in the toddler room for the past 6 years. She will be working on Thursdays and Fridays. Miss Kim has work in the toddler room, as well as the two year old classes for the past five years. She will be working Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Miss Randi has worked at B.E.S.T. for many years with many different age groups. She will be in the room Monday through Friday. We have all worked together in the past and we are looking forward to a very fun year! We understand how scary it may be for the children and even for the parents to leave your child each day. In the beginning of the school year we work with each child s individual schedules and try to accommodate their every need to get them comfortable in their new environment. As the year goes on, we get the children on a daily routine so that they know what to expect during the day. They will be eating and napping at the same time together. This seems like a difficult task but with your support at home and some team work in the classroom, the children adjust more quickly than you would believe. Their daily schedule will be as follows: For early arrivals breakfast when they come in, if needed 9-9:30 playground 10-10:15 snack 11:45-12:15 lunch 12:30 Nap time 2:30 snack During the year we work with the children on their ABC s, counting, nursery rhymes, songs, coloring and simple arts and crafts projects. We also have blocks, balls and lots of other toys to help with their fine motor skills and coordination. It s going to be a great year! Thank you and we look forward to seeing you soon!
