3 GENERAL SECURITY Terms to be taken into account: In order to prevent the danger or damage both to you and to your device follow the instructions properly exactly. Before cleaning up your device plug off the electric and charging cable. After that you may clean up with a dry cloth. Since it may damage the device and it may invalidate the warranty of the device please do not use not recommended apparatus and accessories that is not offered by the manufacturer company of the device. While carrying your device protecting from falling onto the groun and crashes, or else it may be damaged. Always keep your device inside its cover bag and do not keep the device together with other equipments inside a tool kit where it may possibly be damaged. In rainy and snowy weathers in order to protect from liquid contact do not use your device at open areas. Liquid contact may damage your equipment and this may invalidate your warranty. Charge your device with the recommended product and vehicle intern lighter mechanism. Charging devices that are inappropriate for us may use the batteries inside your device or as a consequence of extreme heating may lead to explosions, such situations that may damage you are within your responsibility. While using charging adapters consider using 12 volt 1.5A (medium +) feeding adapters. Do not leave the device open, batteries inside the device left open will be functioning no more. Lighter charge, charging adapter and batteries according to their usage have different economic life are out of warranty. While connecting your device to LNB against the short circuit be careful otherwise LNB and your device may be damaged. Device F-connector input is appropriate for RG-6 cable. Through using thick cables such as RG11 do not damage F-connector input. Terms regarding the service: Do not attempt to fix your device individually. When you opened to cover of your device it will be out of warranty. For entire services regarding the device apply your dealer or technical service department. Page 3 / 16

5 ACCESSORIES : AC 220 V Charging Adapter: Through your 12 Volt output electrical charging adapter your device functions continuously and thus with your charged device in environments where there is no electricity you may use your device as well. Keep away your charging adapter against situations such as getting stuck, crashing and extreme loading. Do not open the device with the purpose of fixing or examining. Vehicle intern lighter charging adapter: As a result of your 12 Volt output charging adapter you may keep your device permanently charged and thus you may use your device in environments where there is no electricity. Within the vehicle as a result of the charging while travelling you may charge your device. Keep away your lighter charging adapter against getting stuck, crashing and extreme loading. Do not open the device in order to fix or examine. Smart Phone Arm Band : You may use the arm band at open air, at the roof or at locations where it is hard to hold the smart phones in your hand. Locate your smart phones onto the arm band and you may set your hands free during the installation. During the installation, service or setting using the arm band is recommended both to protect the smart phone and for security. Page 5 / 16

6 WHAT IS SATFINDER BT SIGNAL MEASUREMENT SYSTEM? SATFINDER BT SIGNAL MEASUREMENT SYSTEM ; It consists of measurement device with the Bluetooth characteristics and a smart terminal that indicates the entire measurement information on the screen. Over Bluetooth the Satfinder BT Measurement Device signal values are shared with IOS SMART PHONES -TABLETS and ANDROID SMART PHONES-TABLETs. Dish antenna installation, system installation, are produced for healthy execution of abonnement measurements and with exact values. With the visual menu screens fast and correct installation can be done. Applications can be installed from GOOGLE PLAY and APP STORE. Applications may not execute measurements individually and require SATFINDER BT Signal measurement device. SATFINDER BT measurement devices may be provided through production branches. BLUETOOTH CONNETION SETTINGS for APPLE IOS: 1. Please bring the status of your SATFINDER BT device with ON/OFF button to turned on status (blue led will be blinking) and activate your bluetooth connection you re your APPLE device and scan the DEVICES. 2. Select the device with the name SF03BT-XXXX and enter PIN as When CONNECTED text is seen Bluetooth synchronization process is completed. NOTE: If the connection is not achieved make sure that MEASUREMENT DEVICE is open or to your entire operations begin from the beginning after switching off your apple device. At the same time 2 make sure that 2 different SATFINDER BT devices are not active. Page 6 / 16

7 4. Activate the SATFINDER BT application from your APPLE device. 5. Push the wheel button on the right bottom corner and enter into SETTINGS menu. 6. In order to present your SATFINDER BT device to the application click on the Bluetooth settings. 7. From the Bluetooth settings menu click on the SELECT DEVICE / CHANGE box. 8. Mark the device with the name SF03BT-XXXX that you have synchronized to your APPLE device via entering the PIN CODE and click on the DONE box. 9. Bluetooth logo at the top right corner will turn into blue color. STATUS bar changes to CONNECTED Status and as on the photograph at the right side SATFINDER BT measurement device info came on to the screen than presentation operation is completed. Now you may execute the satellite signal measurement operations. NOTE: If the presentations operation could not be achieved make sure that MEASUREMENT DEVICE is switched on or to the entire operations Switch off your Apple device and restart. If you have presented before another SATFINDER BT device, make sure that at the same time 2 different SATFINDER BT are not active. Page 7 / 16

8 BLUETOOTH CONNETION SETTINGS for ANDROID: 1. Over the ON/OFF button bring your SATFINDER BT device to TURNED ON status (blue led light will be blinking) and switch on your Bluetooth connection from your ANDROID device and scan the DEVICES. 2. Select the device with the name SF03BT-XXXX and enter the pin When CONNECTED or CRITICIZED text is seen your Bluetooth synchronization process is completed. NOTE: If the connection is not achieved make sure that the MEASUREMENT DEVIC is switched off or to the entire processes start again after switching off the Android device. Make sure that 2 different SATFINDER BT devices are not turned on at the same time. 4. Activate SATFINDER BT application from your ANDROID device. 5. Clicking on the wheel icon at the bottom right corner and enter into the SETTINGS menu. 6. In order to present the SATFINDER BT device to the application click on to the Bluetooth settings box. 9 7. From the Bluetooth settings menu click on the SELECT DEVIC / CHANGE box. 8. Mark the SF03BT-XXXX coded Android device that you have formerly entered the PIN CODE and click on to the OK button. 9. Bluetooth logo at the right top corner will turn into blue colour. STATUS bar will change into CONNETED status, and as on the photograph at the right side, if SATFINDER BT measurement device info came onto the screen presentation operation has been completed. Now you may execute the satellite signal measurement operations. NOTE: If the presentation operation could not be done make sure that MEASUREMENT DEVIC is activated or start all operations after switchingyou re your Android device from the beginning. Before that if you have presented another SATFINDER BT device, make sure at the same time that 2 different SATFINDER BT devices are not activated. Page 9 / 16

10 SATFINDER BT SIGNAL MEASUREMENT SCREENS: Switch on your SATFINDER BT measurement device via clicking on the ON/OFF buttons. Select SATFINDER BT application from your ANDROID or APPLE device. SATELLITE SEARCH MENU: While making the installation of satellite antenna or in case of antenna malfunctioning situations you may use SATELLITE SEARCH menu. Through making SATELLITE and TP selection you may change the selections and through clicking on the START box you may execute measurements. On the screen you will see SIGNAL-QUALITY level, dbuv and dbm signal gains. Move the dish antenna that you have installed you shall set on the right direction. At this moment at the signal level menu you will see that values change and increase. Logic here is to define the highest level dish antenna setting completion. When you see that the level shall not increase any more fix the antenna direction. With the right left boxes you may change the TP frequnecies, and with the DETAIL box you may reach the detail information of TP that you have made measurements. Page 10 / 16

11 FINDING LNB ANGLE: When you clicked onto the SATELLITE SEARCH menu sub part LNB icon through the screen you have encountered you may calculate the LNB angle correctly. As a result of this setting you will provide that LNB power will be used completely. (Check from the settings GPS position) SATELLITE DIRECTION FINDING VIA COMPASS: When you clicked on the SATELLITE SEARCH menu at the bottom side of the antenna icon as a result of the screen you have encountered you may find the direction of the satellite. With the help of the compass on your SMART DEVICE you may indicate the selected satellites AZIMUTH and ELEVATION and you may find the direction of the satellite through turning and moving your SMART DEVICE. Thus before making the installation of the dish antenna you may detect that there are no trees, buildings or electric poles as obstacles in front of the antenna and you may not lose time. (Check your GPS position from the settings menu) Page 11 / 16

12 SPECTRUM ANALYZER MENU : Spectrum Analysis is the screen that enables MHz interval full frequency band scan, and indication of received RF signal levels on the graphic screen. On the spectrum screen; frequency, Span, Diseqc, Polarity, Band, AT reference settings are done and top points on the screen indicate the parts that are strong regarding the signals. Also if we are using Diseqc 1.2 Motor you may select from this menu Dis1.2 and you may execute EAST and WEST settings and you may review levels at all satellites. Above the red strip at the bottom of the screen move 2 fingers of yours and you may change the band width. On the grey strip at the left side you may move 2 fingers of yours and select signal level interval. And you may measure the signal levels at different locations of the band through changing frequency and screen via changing the stripped red triangle marker location. Before getting into the Spectrum Analysis menu regarding the polarity of the selected satellite you may see the frequencies on the screen via marking F.plan box, and you may execute a rapid installation. SATELLITE TP CONTROL MENU : The satellite that we have selected SATELLITE TP CONTROL menu first 4 TP frequency shall be seen at the same time thus TPS at different frequencies can show us how they react regarding our dish antenna setting. When we entered to the SATELLITE TP CONTROL menu via clicking on the START box we reach to the TP s SIGNAL LEVELS menu. Also selection can be made in the double satellite and totally we may seen on the same screen 8 frequencies. At this manu we shall finalize the operation via seeing all signals are lcked and at the highest signal level. Page 12 / 16

13 CONSTELLATION MENU : After making the setting of the selected satellite and TP, it is a menu where you can see the correctness of I/Q values visually. When green dots generate the smallest circle it means that the best setting is made. At QPSK signals 4 pieces, at 8PSK signals 8 pieces small circles will be generated, if signal is not locked points will be randomly distributed. CROSS POLARITY : MULTI LEVEL CONTROL : Purpose in this menu; is to make LNB settings according to the signal level of the selected frequencies reverse polarity. We will set the uppest to the highest signal level that we encountered. The signal at the lower location shall move either together with the one at the top in the same direction or reversely. After setting the correct levels operation will be finished. Via seeing that levels from different Diseqc ports levels are coming at the same time from 2 different satellites of the memory of the device best setting can be done, Results at Multiswitch and Diseqc switches shall be tested rapidly and from the selected TPs incoming signal and quality information can be reviewed. Via this screen 2 satellite screen levels can be monitored from a single screen. Page 13 / 16

14 AUTO PORT SCAN MENU : We will be able to see that dish antenna is towards which satellite or which ports of the Diseq-C Switches are connected to which ports of the satellites. Inside your device Diseq-C 1.0 and Diseq-C 1.1 protocols are loaded and are ready for use. You may use 4 and 8 Diseq-C switches as well. TABLE MEASUREMENT MENU : When you have finalized the antenna installation or when you get to the service to the subscriber the satellite you have selected for all TP s signal values control you may use this menu. You will be able to detect which TP has a problem, and via clicking on the red buttons you will be able to see warning messages. After all TPs are scanned you will see the above tables. After all operations are completed through the SEND button you will be able to send all table as an . Page 14 / 16

15 HELP MENU : HELP menu is at the left part of the screen and shown with the question mark (?) and warnings at that menu, remarks and information sent from the CENTRAL SERVER presentations and news are published. When you need any help regarding any menu via clicking on the (?) QUESTION MARK icon you will be able to reach the help orientation menus. SETTINGS MENU : At the SETTINGS menu while using your device you shall make all sorts of arrangements supplementary. From the Bluetooth Settings menu you may select the active device, and you will be able to enter the branch code to the system. In order to execute a rapid service you will be able to make Main Menu and Satellite Settings. Page 15 / 16

16 SATELLITE SETTINGS MENU : you At this menu where you will be able to make satellite names, their order, Lnb and Diseq-C settings will also be able to make TP adding, deleting and changing operations. From the website you will be able to follow new frequencies. SUPPLY VOLTAGE SET : During the functioning of the device you may control all used feeding values and in case of malfunctioning of the device in communication with the service this will be a menu that simplifies your needs. Also related with the device maintenance or calibration information shall be followed from this screen as well. Page 16 / 16
