2 INSTRUCTIONS 1. Hold handles and twist the top counter-clockwise to open as shown in image Place microwave safe plate or bowl on plate platform in Turbo Cooker. 3. Replace top by aligning arrows as shown in image 2, then fasten the top by holding base handles and turning it clockwise until handles are aligned and top is secure. 4. Place into microwave for recommended or desired time. NOTE: Turbo Cooker is not meant to hold food directly. All food must be placed on a microwave safe plate or bowl inside Turbo Cooker. For best results make sure there is a tight seal between the top and base. If seal is not tight, try rotating the top counter-clockwise 180 degrees then reseal. TURBO COOKER IS DISHWASHER SAFE. Image 1 Image 2 TWIST TO OPEN STARTING TEMPERATURE Foods that are at room temperature take less time to cook than if they are chilled, refrigerated, or frozen. COOKING TIME A range of cooking time is provided with each recipe. The time range is intended to compensate for uncontrollable differences in food shapes, starting temperatures, and regional preferences. Cooking time will also vary depending on the power of each individual microwave and setting. All recipes included are cooked on HIGH and based on a 1250W microwave. REST TIME A recommended wait time before consuming food after it has been removed from the microwave. This allows juices and sauces to be redistributed while the food begins to cool. CAUTION The Turbo Cooker is a sealed cooking vessel that uses heat, steam, and pressure to shorten cooking times. Therefore, it is very important to let the Turbo Cooker cool per the instructions before opening. Failing to do so may result in burns or other injury. Even after cooling, use caution when opening your Turbo Cooker.
3 FOOD SAFETY & COOKING TEMPERATURE Check foods to see that they are cooked to the United States Department of Agriculture s recommended temperatures. To test for doneness, insert a meat thermometer in a thick or dense area away from fat or bone. NEVER leave the thermometer in the food during cooking, unless it is approved for microwave oven use. Ground Meat & Meat Mixtures Temp (F) Rest Time Beef, Pork, Veal, Lamb 160 None Turkey, Chicken 165 None Fresh Beef, Veal & Lamb Steaks, roasts, chops minutes Poultry Chicken & Turkey, whole 165 None Poultry breasts, roasts 165 None Poultry thighs, legs, wings 165 None Duck & Goose 165 None Stuffing (cooked alone or in bird) 165 None Pork & Ham Fresh pork minutes Fresh ham (raw) minutes Precooked ham (to reheat) 140 None Eggs & Egg Dishes Eggs Cook until yolk and white are firm None Egg dishes 160 None BARBECUE BEEF SHORT RIBS 2 ½ - 3 lbs. beef short ribs ½ cup barbecue sauce ½ cup red wine Place ribs on a microwave safe plate or bowl and place on plate platform in Turbo Cooker. Combine barbecue sauce and wine; pour over ribs making sure all sauce is held by the plate or bowl. Secure cover and microwave on HIGH for minutes. Allow the steam to cool down for approximately 2-5 minutes before releasing the cover. Remove cover, place ribs on heated serving plate, and pour remaining sauce from plate over ribs.
4 MEXICAN BEEF STRIPS 1 ½ - 2 lbs. round steak, thinly cut strips 1 tsp. garlic salt ½ tsp. chili powder ½ tsp. cumin ½ cup green pepper strips ½ cup red pepper strips ½ small onion, cut in rings and separated 1/3 cup water 1 pkg. tortillas Mix beef with garlic salt, chili powder and cumin. Place meat on a microwave safe plate or bowl and place on plate platform in Turbo Cooker. Arrange meat in a donut shape, leaving center space open. Add peppers, onion, and water into the center space. Secure the cover. Microwave on high for 15 minutes. Allow the steam to cool down for approximately 2-5 minutes before releasing the cover. Remove cover and serve with warm tortillas. Garnish with lettuce, tomatoes, avocado and sour cream, if desired. 4 servings BARBECUE BEEF SANDWICHES 1 Tbsp. oil 2 ½ - 3 boneless chuck roast ¼ tsp. pepper 1 cup bottled barbecue sauce Crusty rolls or toasted hamburger rolls Heat oil in medium size skillet; sear meat on all sides; place meat on a microwave safe plate or bowl and place on plate platform in Turbo Cooker. Sprinkle with pepper, top with barbecue sauce. With a fork, deeply pierce top of meat. Secure cover. Microwave on HIGH for minutes. Allow the steam to cool down for approximately 2-5 minutes before releasing the cover. Remove cover and Skim fat from sauce. To serve, slice beef for serving and pour remaining sauce from plate over meat. Serve on rolls servings
5 SPICED PORK ROAST 3 lbs. pork roast ½ cup apple cider ½ tsp. dry sage ¼ tsp. pepper Place pork roast on a microwave safe plate or bowl and place on plate platform in Turbo Cooker. Add apple cider. Sprinkle sage and pepper over roast. Secure cover. Microwave on HIGH for 30 minutes. Allow the steam to cool down for approximately 2-5 minutes before releasing the cover. Remove cover. EASY PORK MEAL IN ONE 1 1 ¼ boneless pork country-style ribs, cut in 1 ½ inch cubes. 1 bag of dry vegetable soup mix 1 med. Potatoes (about 2 lbs.) peeled, if desired, and cut in eighths ¾ cup water salt and pepper, if desired Stir together pork and vegetable soup mix; then place potatoes and water on a microwave safe plate or bowl and place on plate platform in Turbo Cooker. Push pork and potatoes into liquid. Secure cover. Microwave on HIGH for 20 minutes. Allow the steam to cool down for approximately 2-5 minutes before releasing the cover. Remove cover and season with salt and pepper for taste, if desired. Serve right from the plate or transfer to heated serving bowl.
6 BARBECUED PORK 1 lb. cooked pork, finely diced 1 cup chili sauce ¼ cup water 1 rib celery, chopped 1 sm. Onion, minced 1 clove garlic, minced 2 tsp. brown sugar 2 tsp. flour 4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 tsp. vinegar 1tsp. Chili powder Salt and pepper for taste Combine all ingredients on a microwave safe plate or bowl and place on plate platform in Turbo Cooker. Secure cover. Microwave on HIGH for minutes. Allow the steam to cool down for approximately 2-5 minutes before releasing the cover. Remove cover. 6-8 servings HERBED CHICKEN 2 ½ - 3 lb. fryer chicken, cut into serving pieces 2-3 tsp. browning sauce 1 10 ¾ oz. can cream of chicken soup 1 sm. Onion, chopped ½ cup instant rice 3 tsp. chopped fresh parsley 1 ½ dried marjoram Brush chicken pieces with browning sauce and place in a microwave safe bowl and place on plate platform in Turbo Cooker. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over chicken. Secure cover. Microwave on HIGH for minutes. Allow the steam to cool down for approximately 2-5 minutes before releasing the cover. Remove cover.
7 CHICKEN N STUFFING 8 oz. pkg. stuffing mix 2 ½ lb. whole chicken ½ browning sauce ½ cup water ½ tsp. Chicken bouillon granules paprika 2 tsp. flour Prepare stuffing mix using package directions. Stuff chicken; secure wings and legs to chicken body with strings. Combine browning sauce, ½ cup water and bouillon. Place chicken on a microwave safe bowl and place on plate platform in Turbo Cooker. Pour water mixture over chicken, sprinkle with paprika. Secure cover. Microwave on HIGH for 25 minutes. Allow the steam to cool down for approximately 2-5 minutes before releasing the cover. Remove cover and Transfer chicken to a heated serving plate. Serve gravy with chicken and stuffing. CHICKEN IN ORANGE SAUCE 1 10 ¾ oz. can cream of chicken soup 6 tsp. frozen orange juice concentrate ¼ cup water 1 med onion, chopped ¼ cup slivered almonds ¼ cup golden raisins 1 lg. clove garlic, minced ½ tsp. grated orange peel ¼ tsp. cinnamon 4 chicken breasts (about 2 pounds) Place all ingredients, except chicken breasts, on a microwave safe plate and mix well. Place on plate platform in Turbo Cooker. Place chicken on top of mixture. Secure cover. Microwave on HIGH for minutes. Allow the steam to cool down for approximately 2-5 minutes before releasing the cover. Remove cover. 4 servings
8 FRESH OR FROZEN CORN ON THE COB 4 large ears, broken in half. Place on a microwave safe plate or bowl and place on plate platform in Turbo Cooker, add ½ cup water. Secure cover. Microwave on HIGH for 13 minutes. Allow the steam to cool down for approximately 2-5 minutes before releasing the cover. Remove Cover. SOUTHERN STYLE GREEN BEANS AND NEW POTATOES ½ - ¾ lb fresh green beans 8 new potatoes, 1 ½ - 2 inches in diameter 1/3 cup water 2 tsp. bacon fat ¼ - ½ tsp. pepper Remove ends of green beans and place on a microwave safe plate or bowl and place on plate platform in Turbo Cooker. Place potatoes with beans and add water, bacon fat, and pepper. Secure cover. Microwave on HIGH for minutes. Allow the steam to cool down for approximately 2-5 minutes before releasing the cover. Remove cover. 4 servings
