1 WELCOME Morning Worship for Palm Sunday with Baptism 20 th March 2016 Led by Revd Ken Madden Palm Sunday by William Hemmerling Welcome and Notices Rejoice, rejoice, you sons of Zion! Shout for joy, you daughters of Jerusalem! Look and see, your king is coming to you. He comes triumphant and victorious, yet humble and riding on a donkey. Ride on in the cause of truth and for the sake of justice. Your throne is the throne of God, it endures for ever; and the sceptre of your kingdom is a righteous sceptre. You have loved righteousness and hated evil. Therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your fellows. Hosanna to the Son of David. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.

2 Ride on, ride on in majesty as all the crowds Hosanna cry; through waving branches slowly ride, O Saviour, to be crucified. Ride on, ride on in majesty, In lowly pomp ride on to die; O Christ, Your triumphs now begin with captured death and conquered sin. Ride on, ride on in majesty the angel armies of the skies look down with sad and wondering eyes to see the approaching sacrifice. Confession Lord Jesus Christ, we confess we have failed you as did your first disciples. We ask for your mercy and your help. When we take our ease rather than watch with you: When we bestow a kiss of peace yet nurse enmity in our hearts: When we strike at those who hurt us rather than stretch out our hands to bless: When we deny that we know you for fear of the world and its scorn:
