1 Part One-Jesus Is I Am Part Two-Jesus Is The Holy One 2 Sam 9 9 Now David said, "Is there still anyone who is left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for Jonathan's sake?" 2 And there was a servant of the house of Saul whose name was Ziba. So when they had called him to David, the king said to him, "Are you Ziba?" He said, "At your service!" 3 Then the king said, "Is there not still someone of the house of Saul, to whom I may show the kindness of God?" And Ziba said to the king, "There is still a son of Jonathan who is lame in his feet." 4 So the king said to him, "Where is he?" And Ziba said to the king, "Indeed he is in the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, in Lo Debar(No Pasture)." 5 Then King David sent and brought him out of the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, from Lo Debar. 6 Now when Mephibosheth(Shameful thing) the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, had come to David, he fell on his face and prostrated himself. Then David said, "Mephibosheth?" And he answered, "Here is your servant!" 7 So David said to him, "Do not fear, for I will surely show you kindness for Jonathan your father's sake, and will restore to you all the land of Saul your grandfather; and you shall eat bread at my table continually." 8 Then he bowed himself, and said, "What is your servant, that you should look upon such a dead dog as I?" 9 And the king called to Ziba, Saul's servant, and said to him, "I have given to your master's son all that belonged to Saul and to all his house. 10 You therefore, and your sons and your servants, shall work the land for him, and you shall bring in the harvest, that your master's son may have food to eat. But Mephibosheth your master's son shall eat bread at my table always." Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants. 11 Then Ziba said to the king, "According to all that my lord the king has commanded his servant, so will your servant do." "As for Mephibosheth," said the king, "he shall eat at my table like one of the king's sons." 12 Mephibosheth had a young son whose name was Micha. And all who dwelt in the house of Ziba were servants of Mephibosheth. 13 So Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem, for he ate continually at the king's table. And he was lame in both his feet.

2 I have been very fortunate throughout my life to receive many incredible blessings that I did not deserve. Because of an association, I have had some incredible experiences; trips; events; meetings, financial blessings, honor etc. But by far the greatest blessings I have ever received in my life are the result of my association with Jesus Christ. Jer. 23:5-6 5 "Behold, the days are coming," says the Lord, "That I will raise to David a Branch of righteousness; A King shall reign and prosper, And execute judgment and righteousness in the earth. 6 In His days Judah will be saved, And Israel will dwell safely; Now this is His name by which He will be called: THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. And of all the blessings that I have received as a result of my association with Jesus Christ, the greatest blessing is that I have been blessed with His righteousness. Rom. 3: But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, 22 even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. To be righteous means I am Virtuous Faultless Innocent Blameless Pure I am not guilty. If you have received Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior, because of your association with Jesus Christ, you are accepted as righteous by God, you are treated as righteous by God, and you receive the eternal promises of God for the righteous. On account of your association with Jesus Christ, you are treated by God as if you have entirely fulfilled the Law of God and you deserve all of the rewards. We have received this blessing only as a result of our association with Jesus Christ. He is the Lord our righteousness! 1 Cor. 1:30-31

3 30 But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God and righteousness and sanctification and redemption 31 that, as it is written, "He who glories, let him glory in the Lord." Glory in Jesus is what we should do! God was not willing to give us this blessing in name only. One of the promised blessings of our association with Jesus Christ is personal transformation into the righteousness of God. Because of our association with Jesus Christ we are made righteous by God. Rom. 5:19 19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man's obedience many will be made righteous. Rom. 8: For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. 2 Cor. 3:18 18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. We are a tri part being, spirit, soul, and body. (I Thess. 5:23) When we receive Jesus our spirit is born of God and is united with His Holy Spirit. Our spirit is one spirit with His. 1 Cor. 6:17 17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him. This union transforms our spirit. God then progressively works in us to transform our soul and our body into the righteous image of Jesus Christ! This is called spiritual growth. Our spirit is home to our nature. Because of our union with the Holy Spirit we have become partakers of His divine nature. We have the character of Jesus Christ in our spirit. Godliness is our DNA.

4 Our spirit is home to our spiritual desires. Because of our union with the Holy Spirit we have the ambitions of Jesus Christ in the spirit. Eternal values are our DNA. Our spirit is home to our spiritual discernment. Because of our union with the Holy Spirit we have the mind of Christ in the spirit. God s wisdom and truth is our DNA in the spirit. Every desire, thought, or emotion that I experience that is contrary to the righteousness of God is also contrary to who Christ has already made me in the spirit. Our association with Jesus Christ has made us the righteousness of God and is making us the righteousness of God. He is the Lord our Righteousness! How should you we respond to so great a salvation? Receive Jesus(John 1:12) Reward Jesus 1. Reckon(Romans 6:11) Walk in the Spirit and not in the flesh. (Gal. 5:16-17). Have faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Find your identity in the spirit and not in your humanity. Surrender your old life for your new life in Christ. When tempted pull out your spiritual passport. Pull out the race card and deny evil desires, evil thoughts, and evil emotions. Reckon yourself dead to sin and alive to God. 2. Raise(Ps. 63:4-5) Raise your head up from your shame. We all suffer from shame. Jesus suffered shame for us to remove our shame. (Isaiah 53). The shame that Jesus endured for you included 1. The incarnation If you gave up your home and your personal identity and joined the homeless you would endure tremendous shame. But it would not compare to the incarnation. If you were stricken with leprosy and your family forsook you and you went to live in a colony for lepers, you would endure tremendous shame. But it would not compare to the incarnation. 2. Rejection-family, friends, his own disciples, his nation

5 3. Verbal abuse Cursed Vilified Slandered Mocked 4. Physical abuse Stripped Whipped Beaten Spit upon Crowned Nailed to a cross 5. Condemnation as a sinner by man and God the Father To live in unbelief and to live in shame with sinful addictions as a Christian is dishonoring and discounting the shame that Jesus endured so your shame could be removed. It is a blatant display of unbelief and ingratitude for what Jesus endured. The name Mephibosheth means shameful thing. David removed his shame just as Christ has removed yours. So believe the gospel, lift up your head, and declare, I will not live in shame. I will not live in sinful addictions. I will not dishonor the cross of Christ. I will lift up my head and boldly proclaim, I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I am Virtuous I am Faultless I am Innocent I am Blameless I am Pure Jesus is the Lord my righteousness. Raise your hands up in praise. He is the Lord our Righteousness! 3. Reproduce(Matthew 4:19; Matthew 28:19-20) Disciple-Share with others the gospel of Jesus Christ.
