It does not appear by name or by geographical reference in the detailed descriptions of events that will occur during the last-days generation. 8 The whore sits on many waters... a global presence? The horns are kings & kingdoms empowered by the beast. These kings eventually destroy the whore, eating her flesh & burning her with fire. God s providence lies behind the willingness of the kings to give their kingdoms to the beast. The WOMAN is THAT GREAT CITY ; but it is an administration This woman reigns over the kings of the earth. 15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues. 16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. 17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfill his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled. 18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth. (Revelation 17:15-18)

9 It is unthinkable that God who knows the end from the beginning would pinpoint such small nations as Libya, Egypt, Ethiopia and Syria in the prophetic declaration and completely overlook the wealthiest and most powerful nation on the earth. Too long have we evaded the question. Too long have we summarily grouped our country with the so-called revived Roman Empire. Too long have we persisted in terming the U. S. A. in prophecy as one of the lion's cubs, thus giving her but an inferential mention in the shadow of a diminishing Britain.

15 A city divided in three parts: (1) Religious (Rev. 17), (2) Commercial (Rev. 18), and (3) Military/ Political (Rev. 19) Babylon is any empire combining spiritual powers with political/military authority, financed by commercial corruption at the expense of the People. 23 Our eschatology is disconnected with its implications Our eschatology is meaningful only if it is relevant We avoid taking specific action it can be an academic exercise, a mental activity without counting the cost MY ASSUMPTION: The LORD returns within the next decade of years. If this be so, How then would our prophetic beliefs be fulfilled?
