Antlered is defined as having at least 2 points (1 inch or more in length) on one side. Youth (15 years old and younger) may take any antlerless or antlered deer during this season. Note: a 3-point antler minimum applies to legal buck harvest in Other. Feral hog, gray squirrel, quail, rabbit, opossum, raccoon, beaver, coyote, armadillo, and Legal hunting devices/details. Legal Hunting Devices/Details. Hunting dogs may be trained in Choctaw and Sikes MUs only. Possession of firearms and/or archery equipment is prohibited. Participants are required to possess a Sikes Deer Dog Stamp to train in the Sikes MU and a Choctaw Deer Dog Stamp to train in the Choctaw MU during the Deer Dog Training Season.

Special Opportunity Events Information Eglin offers multiple Special Opportunity Events each year. Information, dates and applications for all Eglin reservation Special Opportunity Events are available at the Eglin Natural Resources Office (Jackson Guard) at (850) or 4166 and game check stations beginning 1 Oct 15, or on eglin.isportsman.net. 1st Phase (26 Nov 29 Nov) 2nd Phase (19 Dec 3 Jan) 3rd Phase (16 Jan 24 Jan) Other. 3 9 Jan 10 Jan Any deer (except spotted fawn), feral hog, and coyote may be harvested. One (1) Youth Hunt either sex deer tag will be issued at time of the Youth Hunt Weekend Permit purchase. The tag must be affixed to either sex deer immediately upon harvest. Either sex deer tag is only valid during the Youth Hunt Weekend. Legal hunting devices/details. All legal rifles, shotguns, muzzleloading guns, crossbows, and bows may be used. Youth hunters (age 6 through 15) eligible to participate will need to purchase a Youth Hunt Weekend Permit. Participants must be accompanied by and under direct supervision of a nonhunting adult (21 years of age or older). Accompanying adults are not required to have an Eglin reservation Hunting Permit; however, must possess some form of valid Eglin permit that authorizes access to the Eglin reservation. 6 Feb 15 Feb Other. Shotguns, muzzleloading shotguns, crossbows and bows may be used. All underage hunters(<16 years of age) are eligible to participate, no permit required. Youth participants must be accompanied by and under direct supervision of a non-hunting adult (21 years of age or older). Accompanying adults are not required to have an Eglin reservation Hunting Permit however, they must possess some form of valid Eglin permit that authorizes access to the reservation. 19 Mar 24 Apr Bearded turkey, gobbler, and coyote. Legal hunting devices/details. Shotguns, muzzleloading shotguns, crossbows and bows are authorized. Possession and/or use of buckshot or slugs prohibited. Legal hunting hours: 1/2 hour before sunrise until 1:00 pm.

5 Season Dates to be Announced. Legal to take: Rail, common gallinule, mourning dove, white-winged dove, Eurasian collared dove, snipe, duck, coot, woodcock, and crow may be hunted during established State and Federal seasons for these species, which coincide with the Eglin Archery, General Gun, Small Game, Early Muzzleloader Gun and Early Duck Season. Early Duck Season to be announced. Legal hunting devices/details. Migratory Game Bird Season to be announced. Migratory game bird hunting is authorized during any Eglin reservation hunting season that corresponds with open State or Federal seasons. Shotguns no larger than 10 gauge and plugged to a three-shell capacity, birds of prey, and bows may be used. Possession of lead shot prohibited while hunting water fowl. Timberlake East and West dove fields - 40 hunter quota per day per field. Open Wednesdays and Saturdays during established State dove seasons.
