1 Launch Into Prayer 40 Days of Prayer for Discerning Our Church s Future
2 Dear Friend in Christ, I am delighted that you will join your church family in 40 days of prayer for spiritual renewal and Godly discernment. In this season of our church s life. we are longing for renewed energy and excitement in our worship. We would love to see our current worship service experiences grow. And we also have dreams of increasing our worship opportunities. Is God calling us to invest our gifts and energies in an additional worship service? And if so, whom is God calling us to invite and reach? We don t have the answers. We pray for God s guidance, God s wisdom, and God s leadership. Until we experience revival in our own lives, it s difficult to imagine revival within our church. So passionately seek God s spirit to ignite your heart even as you pray that God will draw our church family together and forward. God will increase and mature our faith and produce great fruit in our worship ministries. Thank you again for entering into the Launch Into Prayer commitment with Sellersburg UMC. We look forward to watching what God will do as we meet with Him around His vision.
3 This Launch Into Prayer Guide will help you join other believers in bringing questions and praises before God. The Guide is based off what I am calling the PAT model of prayer. It begins with Preparation: Praise God for who He is. Confess your brokenness and need for healing. Pray for His Spirit to draw you near, Listen as He speaks to you Then Ask God to intercede in your life Each day will include a prayer point to guide you in a specific petition to God Conclude with Thanksgiving: Thank God for hearing you Trust that God is at work to accomplish His will We pray God will do a great and might work in and through each of our lives as we meet with Him daily in prayer. Pastor David
