2 Why Anti-Money Laundering? Money laundering is a global phenomenon that is widely affecting the society, human being, financial organizations. And its consequences create financial risks and social concerns as the money earned from these illegitimate means lead to antisocial activities like terrorism. 3 COMBAT: An Anti-Money Laundering Solution COMBAT is robust and high-performing Anti-Money Laundering platform from Evolvus that helps detecting, monitoring and preventing fraudulent financial activities. In an Anti-Money Laundering (AML) implementation, the availability of customer data is pivotal. This enables identify and analyze issues and implement required on-time solution by identifying, preventing and reporting. Customer Information This typically has the basic customer information such as identification such as name, contact number and other personal and financial details. Most of the information in the above classified data forms the KYC information of the customer. Transaction Data This typically contains details about all transactions performed on the account along with counter party details. The transactions are extracted from individual systems like CBS, payments, loans, treasury, trade, and finance etc., based on the screening systems. Account Data This typically contains the nature of the product, ownership, account operation, currency, and account balance. The source of account information and customer data is the core of banking or the CIF or the CRM application of the bank.

6 Features KYC Screening On-boarding In this process the customer details such as name, PAN no. etc. are verified and are screened against the national databases to validate customer identity. On-going Monitoring For existing customer of the financial institutions, the system will rescan the customer details against the national databases in regular intervals as configured. Alert Generation For any violations of FIU typologies and possible matches to watch lists, alerts are raised on a dashboard during the Screening & Transaction Monitoring process. These are populated on an end user configurable dashboard. FIU Reporting COMBAT helps generating FUI reports based on inputs from the KYC details. The reports can be in XML / PDF / TXT formats as requested by the local FIU. MIS Report Generation COMBAT offers MIS reports for internal consumption by bank s compliance team and/or board of directors for decision making.
7 Transaction Monitoring Payment Transactions All payment transactions of the Core Banking and/or across all alternative channels are screened against the typologies as specified by the FIU. Rules Engine Typologies as specified by the FIUs against which all transactions (financial & non- Financial) are scanned to monitor any violations. Counter Party Analysis This is primarily for FI s who are entering and/or entered into a correspondent banking relationship with other FI s. Watch List Filtering Scan appropriate KYC details against multiple watch lists such as OFAC, UN, EU, Internal watch list and/or paid watch lists. API s are used for Accuity, DonJones and Thomson Reuters. Network Analysis For existing customer of the financial institutions, the system will rescan the customer details against the national databases in regular intervals as configured. Peer Group Analysis This analysis assists an FI to understand how their customers are behaving for real time watch list screening. Cross Border Wire Transfers Additional scanning happens against the following parameters to ensure no sanctions violations are unknowingly committed by the FI. Risk Rating Each customer is assigned a Risk Score this is based on various parameters such as nationality, products used by the customer, type of occupation (Salaried, Business Owner, PEP etc.), transaction history, country of residency, country of incorporation (for a business) etc.
