1 We Live Our Faith, Volume 2 (Grade 8) Session 2 God s Law and the Great Commandment Session 2 Overview The theme of Session 2 is God s Law and the Great Commandment. Students learn in Chapter 3 that following God s law and Jesus teaching leads to happiness. Students learn in Chapter 4 about the Great Commandment and the first three of the Ten Commandments. Chapter 3 Overview In this chapter the students will learn that true happiness is found in following God s law. Faith Words conversion New Commandment Doctrinal Content For Adult Reading and Reflection Catechism of the Catholic Church The students will learn: Paragraph Following God s law leads to peace, love, and joy Jesus calls us to conversion Following Jesus teachings leads to true happiness Following Jesus means loving as he did

2 Chapter 4 Overview In this chapter the students will learn about the obligations and challenges the Great Commandment and the first three commandments place upon us.
