1 What is fasting? FASTING is an intentional denial rooted in a quest to get closer to God. Fasting is a physical sacrifice for spiritual growth. Fasting is a commitment to deny your physical fleshly desires, to increase you spiritual effectiveness. Fasting takes prayerful discipline! Read: Mark 9:29 What is Prayer? PRAYER is your intentional reach for God s direct and specific involvement in your life. Prayer is communication with God, giving thanksgiving, requests and desires, knowing he can and will respond with thought, ideas, situations, people or primarily His word. Read: James 5:16 What is Meditation? MEDITATION is the act of giving your time or attention to a thought, concept, situation or person. Meditate means to consider. Read: Joshua 1:8 Fasting Choices DENIAL- No food 6am to 6pm DANIEL- Fruit, vegetables, juice and water only DESERT- Water is your only beverage option for the entire period of time. You may eat what you like. DROUGHT- No television with the exception of the news and religious programming. Deliverance- all members are asked to abstain from sinful habits, or habitual behaviors in addition to the options above for maximum results. (Example: cursing, gossip, overacting, alcoholism, ungratefulness, sexual sins, etc. See Galatians 5:19-26 an Hebrews 12:1) prayerfully after the fast, you wont look back! How do I pray? SELF- Pray for your personal growth, your improvement, and other specifics pertaining to what you need. SITUATIONS- Pray for specific situations you need help with SUCCESS- Pray for the ability to do well spiritually and physically.

3 Dear Heavenly Father, PRAYER FOR YOUR FUTURE! Before I ask you for anything, I want to thank you for everything. I know according to your word that you have a plan for my life Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thought that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace not evil, to give you a future and a hope. No matter how I feel, I know you have my best interest in mind and in heart. I m thankful for every past situation that you have seen me through, but I stand in expectancy for a brighter future. God I have made plans, but you say in Proverbs 19:21 We humans keep brainstorming options and plans, but Gods purpose prevails. As much as I desire do things to go my way, I know I need them to go YOUR way for my life. I pray now that you make every path straight for my future. I know you have placed me here for a purpose and I desire more than ever to fulfill what you have created me to do. Everyday God help me to become more excited bout my future, and everything that you have in store for me. So Lord, I ask today that you open my eyes to my destiny and purpose in this season of my life. I no longer want to waste time on things that I m not called to do. Help me stay focused on my future. 5 Dear Heavenly Father, PRAYER FOR YOUR FINANCE I surrender my financial affairs and concerns about my money to your divine care and love. I know its in your will that I may have life but just not regular life, but life more abundantly according to John 10:10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. God I believe that you will supply my every need in every area in my life. I ask that you remove my worries, anxieties, and fears about money, and replace them with faith. I commit to being grateful for all that I now have in my life. According to your word Hebrew 13:5 Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, I will never leave you nor forsake you. Help me to not have a love for money but a love for seeking and pleasing you. Finally Lord help me to manage my finances wisely, seeking where I need help, with this fast I want to become more faithful and obedient to you, helping me give every piece of me including my finances and tithe. I ask you to help me understand my purpose in life to act on that purpose with courage and strength. I know that prosperity will come, in part, by doing what I love and called to do. Please help me use my skills and knowledge to be of service in the world. In Jesus Name We Pray Amen

7 PRAYER FOR YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS Dear Heavenly Father I would like to take this time to pray and ask you to cover my family. I never want to take for granted the gift of family. No matter how I feel about them I have to honor the gift that you decide to bless me with. Everyday I want to become intentional about covering my family in prayer. Your words says in Exodus 20:12 Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you. Help me honor then as an extension of you. Also Lord please cover my friends and I ask you to reveal who I should befriend and who I should un-friend. Send me friends that wont jut go along with everything I say and desire to do, but send me friends that will stretch my faith and require me to grow in things of you. Your word says in Proverbs 27:17 As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another. Send me people that will sharpen me in the things of the word and the world. Lord I know that I need people in this life to help me along the way. You place friends and family in my life to help me and I will not disregard the blessings you place in my life. Your word said in Genesis 2:18 The Lord God said, It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him. Lastly Lord help me to acknowledge you as the ultimate friend and family member, never allow me to overlook everything that you do for me and search for man to do it. Please put a hedge of protection around all my family, friends, as well as my enemies. Thank You Lord!
