Our Theme is Transformation of the Church Lord Make Us Over and we are praying for both young and old disciples to join us in this Fellowship. The activities planned for this year s Assembly, with the help of God, will reach every heart that attends. Each year we try to have something different and exciting through our workshops, music, preaching and teaching. Our lecturer for this year will be Rev. Dr. Charlie Biggurs, Pastor of Abundant Grace Christian Church, Dallas Texas. Register early, reserve your rooms and get ready for a great time. In Jesus Name! Thanks, Will NATIONAL CONVOCATION 24 TH Biennial Session July 21-24, 2016 Kansas City, MO/KS Theme: Hindsight Insight Foresight Habakkuk 2:2 Register at ORATORICAL CONTEST!!! Yes! The Children s Ministry will sponsor an Oratorical Contest on this year s theme: Transformation of the Church Lord Make Us Over using Psalms 51:10 for a scriptural base. The ages 4-12 or 6 th grade and TCMF Districts are asked to select representatives from their district to compete. The prizes will be tablets again this year. 2 DISCIPLES MEN S MINISTRY The TCMF Disciples Men Department was recognized and given a nice trophy for its Hands On Mission Projects by Jarvis Christian College at its Pioneer Hall of Fame Preeminence Awards Gala on March 19, The trophy will be displayed at the Annual All Assembly Banquet this year. The program booklet and the presentation listed all the volunteers who participated in this ministry. Plans are being made to continue this ministry this summer. A nominating committee has been established and will receive the nominations made by members of the Fellowship. A copy of the nomination form is included with this newsletter. Everyone is encouraged to give serious thought to the people you nominate and make sure they are qualified and will be dedicated to serving in that position. TCMF is in a strategic positon and has tremendous possibilities in the 21 st Century. We need servant leaders who are in touch with the members and churches in the Fellowship and will be visionaries. Please remember that you must be a registered delegate to the Assembly to vote in the election! So get your nomination forms in (send to the secretary, Patricia Bluitt, 3829 Gannon LN #1110, Dallas, TX 75237) INTRODUCING TCMF S PARLIAMENTARIAN SAUNDRA RAY Saundra Ray is a native of Dallas, Texas. She grew up in Warren Avenue Christian Church, where she is a faithful member. She has participated in several areas of the church: Choir, Usher, Youth Group, TCMF and Parliamentarian. Saundra is also a member of the Dallas Interdenominational Church Ushers; which is affiliated with the National United Church Ushers Association of America, Inc., Texas Church Ushers, and the Southern Regional Ushers. She held many offices in each of these groups. Saundra has worked for the City of Dallas for over 30 years. She is the mother of two and a grandmother. Saundra is dedicated to whatever she's involved.

3 TEXAS CHRISITAN MISSIONARY FELLOWSHIP (TCMF) PROPOSED RESOLUTION Whereas TCMF has held an annual assembly in July each year for many years at Jarvis College and recently changed to alternating locations (north and south Texas) beginning in 2015 Whereas it requires an enormous amount of time to plan a successful assembly Whereas the cost of hosting an assembly is increasing Whereas the registration cost is expensive for individuals who attend the assembly Whereas it is desired to also have clusters to provide training for members and leaders of TCMF congregations Whereas TCMF churches and members desire to attend the National Convocation which meets every other year usually in July Whereas the travel budgets of churches, districts and individuals are limited Be it resolved that: TCMF changes its Annual Assembly to a Biennial Assembly, meeting alternating years with the National Convocation s Assembly. Be it also resolved that TCMF host regional (north and south) clusters to provide training for church leaders and members. These clusters should include training for all departments and positions (officers) of the local congregation on a rotating basis. Be it also resolved that the clusters should be one day events and be scheduled to require minimum travel. 4 MINISTERS RETREAT 2016 GO HOME AND TELL MARK 5:19 The ministers department held its 2 nd Annual Retreat at Center Point C.C., Greenville, TX. on February 20, 2016 under the leadership of President, Eld. Robert Loftis. Min. Sue Alexander, Associate Pastor of New Fellowship Christian Church, Palestine, TX and Rev. John Whitfield, Pastor of Romine Avenue Christian Church, Dallas, TX presented dynamic workshops and there was outstanding fellowship among the participants. Praise God! Midwinter Youth Retreat THEME: #Turn Up, 2 Timothy 1:6 The youth department under the leadership of Rev. Myron Goins and Sis. Kim Harden held its annual Mid-Winter Youth Retreat at Disciples Crossing Camp in Athens, TX on March 18-20, The camp was well attended and the youth reported having a great time. At the camp the following leadership team was selected for the year: Regional Representative Tatiana Hardin District Representatives : District 1 Haleigh Ward and Amauri Barrett - Clark Street C.C. District 2 Raegan Allen & Kynnadi Wallace New Vision C.C. and Ta Nyah Steadman Burning Bush C.C. District 4 Kaci Mitchell University Christian Church The youth leaders are praying for youth from all districts to participate and be leaders. This leadership team is busy planning the events for the Annual TCMF Fellowship Assembly to be held in July 2016.

5 135 TH FELLOWSHIP ASSEMBLY PLANS While we are still working on plans for the next Fellowship Assembly, the following plans have been made: Dates: July 6-9, 2016 (Changed to Wednesday Saturday to allow more time for activities.) Assembly Lecture: The lecture will be given by Rev. Dr. Charlie Biggurs, Pastor of Abundant Grace Christian Church, Dallas, Texas on Thursday and Friday mornings. Department Workshops: All departments are planning workshops for their members to explain their plans and programs for the year. The time allotted has been increased from 45 minutes to 90 minutes to allow ample time to cover the department s business and present workshop information. Remember this is an election year. Ushers Department: The ushers will have a workshop on Thursday afternoon for all ushers and all churches are asked to send as many representatives to this as possible. Special training and information for ushers will be provided. Choir Rehearsal: Sis. Facen is asking all that will to join the choir this year. The goal is a 100 voice choir. She is making CD s with the music on them again this year. Contact her at Gladys.facen@gmail.com. for more information. Let s Praise the Lord in Song! Presbytery Hour: The presbytery hour has been changed to Thursday at 1:00 p.m. and the speaker will be Min. Sue Alexander, Associate Pastor of New Fellowship Christian Church, Palestine, TX. All ministers are asked to dress in proper attire and be present to support this service. Meals: We are planning to have 3 dinners, 2 lunches and 1 breakfast which are included in the registration. They are sit down events and will start on time as required by the hotel. During each meal a program is planned for your enjoyment. Children, Youth, and Young Adults: Separate full programs are being planned for these groups during the day. Please encourage them to attend and participate. We really want the whole church to be involved in the Fellowship this year. Regional and Area Ministers: Again this year we are inviting our Area Ministers to be present and participate in this Fellowship Assembly. They will be given a platform to make a presentation during the dinner meeting on Thursday. Business Meetings: We will have three business meetings this year because we have some very important business to take care of. We have to hold the election and consider several resolutions. Recreation: We have scheduled free time on Friday from 2:45 till 5:00 p.m. for participants to enjoy the area recreations, go shopping, visit family in the area, etc. Place: Hilton Arlington, 2401 East Lamar Boulevard, Arlington, TX 76006, Phone: Room Rate: $ plus tax. 6 Irving, TCMF DISCIPLES WOMEN S MINISTRIES NEWS TCMF DISCIPLES WOMEN S SPRING CONFERENCE TT Charlotte The TCMF STate Disciples Women s Ministry hosted their Spring Workshop on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 13 th Avenue Christian Church, Corsicana, TX from 10:00 a.m. till 2:00 p.m. The theme was, The Table and Beyond: Lavish Hospitality in the Bible. President Sally Green conducted the meeting and led the business session. Vice president Cheryl Smith presented the Study materials and was the program coordinator. Charlotte Cook, New Fellowship Christian Church, Palestine, TX presented a workshop that had everyone really involved.
