An out-of-the-box external RAID solution, the enclosure includes a USB 2.0 cable and the necessary power adapter. To help protect installed hard drives from the gradual heat build-up that occurs as a result of typical drive operation, the dual drive enclosure features a built-in 40mm fan. This is especially important with large capacity, or faster "spinning" drives (e.g. 7200RPM), as it can help keep drives running cooler, which can preserve data integrity and the drive's lifespan by reducing the chances of premature failures.
