The quality of your cabinets determines how long your kitchen will last, whether you ll get value for money and whether it will look good for years to come. Start by opening a cabinet door. Does the interior match the rest of the kitchen? Our kitchens are all colour matched, whilst budget kitchens often feature a standard white interior. Look at the shelves. Are they as thick as the side panels? Cheaper units often have shelves and supports unsuitable for long term use, meaning they ll break under continuous weight. Our cabinet sides and shelves are 19mm thick and feature solid metal shelf supports. How is the back panel fixed to the sides of the cabinet? When Blum Soft Close Door & Drawer Mechanisms Drawer boxes with full extension and integrated soft close system. All kitchens feature Blum drawer boxes with robust, heavy duty runners and Blumotion self closing system as standard. Closes silently and effortlessly even with force. The system adjusts itself to the closing speed and weight of the door and has incredible durability. Tested to 200,000 opening and closing cycles. Our back panels are factory fitted 8mm MDF and are an integral part of the cabinet. Do the drawers run smoothly? Quality runners support the drawer from underneath rather than the sides giving extra strength. Tap the drawer base. Does it feel solid? Self assembled drawer boxes are prone to deterioration, for instance weak bases may bend and front panels loosen. All our drawer bases are factory constructed from 16mm MFC and rigorously tested to the highest standards. How much weight will it stand? Our titanium drawer boxes can take up to 30Kg in weight and extend fully so you can easily reach items at the back. All feature Blumotion self closing system as standard. Look inside the cabinets for unnecessary holes. Flat pack cabinets have numerous components that must be assembled and these unsightly multipurpose holes are purely there to reduce construction costs. Our cabinets are drilled for specific use with over 500 variations available. All are made using traditional dowel & glue joints, squared under pressure, factory assembled and supplied rigid. They are superior to flat pack but, as assembling kitchen cabinets on site can be time consuming and costly, not necessarily more expensive.
