Introduction Sofa Strict Business theme is just like it reads a WordPress business oriented theme. Elegant, modern, clean but in the same time classic design make this theme outstanding. It has almost everything needed to properly equip both Page and the Post; all media files are handled automatically, images are separated from the rest of the content, it has a support for multiple author page(s), ready made contact form template page, flash slideshow, widgetized footer, etc. I guess young & dynamic companies who do care about internet presence will find this theme quite useful in combination with WordPress. This theme basically doesn't require any special treatment. It's customizable via Admin panel and once you set it up it works like a Swiss watch. Requirements & Compatibility Any Flash Player and JavaScript enabled Browser will make this theme work with no issues! PC or Mac system does not make the difference as well. It has been tested on Firefox 2 & 3 (PC, Mac), Safari 3.1 (PC, Mac), Opera 9.5 & 9.6 (PC), Internet Explorer (6 & 7, PC).

2 Files included in download zip In order to get started, unzip 'sofa_strictbusiness.zip' to your local drive, desktop or whatever location you prefer. 3 What should I know? There are few crucial things that you should know about setting up this theme so please read carefully before sending an with subject 'HELP'. It'll take only a few minutes of your time! OK, before you start filling your theme with some content here it is... Thumbnail size As you probably already have noticed, all the thumbnails used with this theme have a little bit nonstandard format: 290 x 110 px as oposed to WP default settings of 150 x 150 px. No big deal to change it. Login to your WP Admin first. Select Settings > Media from the left sidebar menu. Change values for 'Thumbnail size' only and ignore the other two options (not needed on templates), see an image below. Save.

4 Sofa Strict Business theme options In order to avoid messing up with the code and make your life easier, some of this theme's options are editable through Admin panel. Login to WP Admin and select Appearance >Sofa Strict Business Options Lightbox 'rel' tag for a case you decided to use some of available Lightbox WP plugins here is the only location you'll ever need to enter 'rel' tag. PS, I really love 'Shadowbox' which supports almost every media file type. However, it's your choice. Comments because of the fact that this is a business oriented theme, many of you will find post comments unwanted. You have an easy option to turn them off right here. Home page introduction right below main navigation should stand an intro title and text block. It should be short and visitor friendly. Home page Left info box, Center info box and Right info box it's nice to have some boxes where company can introduce either a products or services on the home page. These three little boxes are supposed to 'accept' the title, an image and optionally a ink to full text page. NOTE! Don't forget to crop thumbnails to max 290px in width and upload them all to 'user images' folder of this theme. Contact information one of three footer boxes is reserved to hold basic contact information. Anything you enter here will show up in the right footer box along with company logo.

5 Flash slideshow If you open 'slideshow_images' folder you'll find 5 images cropped to 290 x 210 px (please keep that dimension in future otherwise clipping will occur!). However, there's no limitation in number of images. Just replace with your own or add more just for testing purpose. After that you will have to edit one simple xml file named 'ImageList.xml '. This file holds image names so Flash slideshow can display them on the screen. For example, currently this xml file looks like this:...and I would love to add two more images named 'image_whatever.png' and 'image_x.gif'. How to do that? As simple as that: NOTE! Don't forget to crop images to max 290 x 210 px in width and upload them all to 'slideshow_images' folder.

6 Anything else? 1. Footer left box and Footer center box are reserved for widgets, don't forget about that too! 2. 'contact.php' is a template file with built in contact form. If you want to use it with this theme do the following: Select Pages > Add New from the left sidebar menu. Add some content, images, media files if you like but before saving the Page, from the right sidebar select Contact as a Template. This will make the contact form automatically show up on frontend. NOTE! In order to make this contact form collect and send data to desired address you must edit 'contact.php'. This file has commented example code which is quite simple and I do not recommend its usage. Please Google for safer solution example! However, if you like to use default one, open 'contact.php', uncomment commented parts and save. It should work.
