Course Aim This Teacher Training Course will empower you to develop and run your own Golden Atlantis Workshops and Programmes. Golden Atlantis Background and Philosophy This Teacher Training Programme is based on Diana Cooper s highly successful book Discover Atlantis and has been written and developed by Diana with the help of Master Teachers from her School. 3 Foundation Module Content (20 teaching hours) This module will: Enable you to help individual clients. Give you the expertise and skills to facilitate a group or workshop in a professional manner. Empower you with the confidence to organise and hold a group or workshop. Give you the basic framework for the Golden Atlantis Course, and other teacher training courses run by the Diana Cooper School. The subjects covered during the module will include: How to set up a workshop or group Weaving the Magic Preparing yourself. Your intention or mission. Grounding, centering, purifying and protecting, opening up to the highest guidance. Making people welcome creating a safe space. The art of helping people feel relaxed and comfortable. Movement and exercises to relax people. Safe sharing. Presentation skills Quality of voice. Being spontaneous. Attitude. Exercises to improve breathing and improve the tone of the voice. Structuring a Golden Atlantis workshop. Order of presentation. Creating variety. Using all your skills and being individual. Setting up Golden Atlantis exercises. Explaining the exercise and building the energy. Ways to end the exercise e.g. sharing, silence, going away and returning to discuss later, doing something filled with movement, sound and excitement. We would prefer our teachers to have experience of running workshops or a background in the healing arts. You are expected to be mentally and emotionally stable and to be responsible for your own actions and behaviours at all times. The Application Form helps us to assess the suitability of our potential teachers; therefore it is vital that the information you provide is as comprehensive as possible. As a guide the content of your record may include the following:- Your expectations about the course and what you hope to achieve Your aspirations for the future The impact the exercises had on you and why Your key learning points Your own personal perceptions of Atlantis Any issues or blocks you experience during the course and how you intend to deal with them Workshop Practice You will be required to:- Prepare visualisations, activities and presentations during the teaching weekends 5

6 On successful completion of the course, you will: Have the knowledge, skills, and confidence to run your own Golden Atlantis workshops. (Please note: the course does not lead to a certificate to be a Master Teacher Trainer on behalf of the Diana Cooper School this requires experience and further training.) Receive a Certificate as a Golden Atlantis Teacher from the Diana Cooper School. Be able to say you are a qualified Golden Atlantis Teacher of the Diana Cooper School in your advertising and literature. Be expected to adhere to the Code of Ethics, Practise and Advertising Standards issued by the Diana Cooper School. Have the option to subscribe as a professional member of the Diana Cooper School giving you a variety of benefits such as: having your contact and workshop details listed on the School web site, receiving regular newsletters and any updates from Diana as they are issued, receiving Diana s tour dates before the public and you will be kept informed of developments and news from the School. The course fee is 120 per day. The course (including Foundation) is 9 days. (This cost does not include travel or accommodation but does include light refreshments throughout the day) It is necessary to complete the Foundation Module with the Diana Cooper School before a Golden Atlantis Teaching Certificate can be awarded. 6
