3 Who we are FEILER - Made in Germany The Fascination of Chenille FEILER is known around the world as the leading producer of genuine, colour-woven chenille and top-quality terry cloth with chenille borders. The foundation of our company was laid by Ernst Feiler in 1928, in Sudetenland. Since 1948, we have produced our items exclusively in Hohenberg an der Eger, a small historic town in Upper Franconia. Today, the long-established family company employs a team of around 140 people under the management of brother and sister Dieter and Dagmar Schwedt. Meanwhile unique FEILER Chenille is being successfully distributed to over 30 countries worldwide. Genuine FEILER chenille is a unique plush fabric made from pure cotton. A special weaving technique makes it possible to create a pattern on both sides. This remarkable material stands out for an unrivalled variety of colours, a pleasant soft pile, and high levels of absorbency and colour fastness. Charming designs developed especially for this technique of weaving, most of which feature floral motifs, create the distinctive, exclusive look of FEILER products. Collection... for a real good feeling We place great value in the origins and cultivation of our raw materials. This means we create superior comfort even before production actually commences. The range of FEILER products includes fine towels, bathrobes, Sauna-Kilts, cosy baby items, aprons, trendy bags and pouches. High quality living items such as cushions, plaids and throws are completing the wide collection. We only use cotton which complies 100 % with the current environmental standards. We only source thread from firms whose dying techniques are in accordance with OEKO-TEX Standard 100. The thread is checked constantly for composition and quality. This care is a matter of course for us because we know that something special can only be created from the best. Besides of its outstanding design FEILER Chenille is pleasant to the skin, anti-allergic, hygienic (washable at 60 C), strong and resistant to pilling and fading. 3
