Children are engaging in social interactions and playing with peers and adults. Impact: Children are given a greater chance of succeeding in school. 1) Staff will receive training on enrollment definition and how to properly enroll participants. 2) Selection of new participants will be done within 1 week of an opening. 3) Open slots will be filled in 30 days. 2 Goal: Families are ready to engage. Objective: Centers will maintain an 85% attendance rate in compliance with the Federal Attendance Policy ( ) Outcome: Children that maintain good attendance have a greater opportunity to be ready for kindergarten. Actively engaged parents will help children be ready for school. Impact: Children and Families receive the full benefit of program services. Attendance Staff will receive training on how to monitor, document and support attendance in the program. Attendance will be analyzed by management staff to identify trends. FRS, FA, HV, and Daily and monthly -ChildPlus Report -Daily attendance logs

3 Goal: The Program is ready to support. Objective: The Program will maintain a waitlist that consists of a minimum of 15% income eligible or categorically eligible applicants over their funded enrollment at each Head Start center and program option and at each Early Head Start site. The Program will also utilize a formal process to determine the Eligibility of the family and to determine the Selection process. Outcome: The program will maintain a waitlist so that we are able to make sure that the children who are in most need are selected for the Program. Actively engaged parents will be their child s advocate when dealing with community programs and organizations Impact: All families with eligible children within our service areas are informed of the services available to them. Recruitment Staff will be trained in the area of recruitment. Outcome: Children and families will receive the highest level of customer service during the application and enrollment process. Actively engaged parents will help children be ready for school. Actively engaged parents will ensure that children have a lifelong love of learning. Actively engaged parents will be their child s advocate when dealing with community programs and organizations. Impact: Staff will be highly qualified in their areas, and will be prepared to serve children and families to the best of their abilities. ERSEA All staff that take applications or enroll participants into one of our program options will receive annual ERSEA training. MU OPEN Initiative All applications will be reviewed by the ERSEA.
