1 How do I complete my Final Video Assessment? As part of the assessment for your online Certificate III in Fitness, you must submit a video covering the practical components of the course, and demonstrate the required competency in these skills. When completing this submission please adhere to the following points:! It is essential that you obtain written consent from your client before commencing filming. The Consent Form can be found on Page 2 of this document and needs to be signed by both parties and submitted with your video.! You must conduct the Final Video Assessment in a commercial gym (speak to your work placement provider for permission). Final Video Assessments filmed at home will not be accepted and will be returned to you unmarked for re-submission. This is essential, as we need to see your competent understanding and delivery of training programs in a commercial gym environment. THIS IS MANDATORY.! Videos must be submitted on a USB or DVD with.avi or.mp4 as the preferred format however any of the following formats are also acceptable:!.mov!.mpg!.wmv!.flv!.mpeg! You do not need a professional video camera; using an iphone is perfectly acceptable and you do not need to have it professionally produced. Close-ups or zoom shots are not required; just keep the recording simple and clear. The emphasis must be on the overall execution of the criteria and giving a clear, concise explanation.! Once you have finished each section, watch it to make sure the sound and visual quality is acceptable. If the assessor cannot see or hear you, then it may affect your assessment outcome.! Final Video Assessment submissions must be submitted on a USB or DVD. We cannot accept video files sent via , Dropbox, or WeTransfer, etc. due to compliance needs and the volume of downloads; we need a physical copy for our records.! The Final Video Assessment is a recording of simulated activities (i.e. you can use a friend or family member as your client ).! Clearly identify yourself (via a short introduction) as the student and introduce what you are about to demonstrate for each criterion.! Once you have completed your Final Video Assessment, please review all sections to identify whether the information reflects your current level of understanding. If you feel it does not reflect your knowledge, film the sections again. The assessor will assume that your submitted video is your final draft.! Print your name and contact details clearly on the USB or DVD submission.! Print and complete all the required Appendices, Health Screen Form and Exercise Programs and submit them with your USB or DVD.! PTA does not return submissions. They remain the property of PTA for RTO compliance purposes. Please make sure you save a back-up copy of your Final Video Assessment. If you are unsure about any of the points listed above or any other aspect of the submission process please contact us via c3@ptacademy.edu.au or call PTA CIII Final Assessment Video Submission Guidelines RTO Provider No: of 8
