2 2/5 Career History Axxes 08/2015 Present Axxes Postbuzz Period 09/2015 present Antwerp Front end developer For the development of a community platform for local businesses, organizations and residents to read or share hyperlocal information. I worked on a project called Postbuzz ( The developers team existed out of two frontend developers, one backend developer and one designer. Project Postbuzz is made in AngularJs. We used gulp as the build system and Sass to create the layout. Our team worked in sprints of 1 week. With the VivifyScrum tool we kept track of the sprint burndown and achieving our goals. Every Monday we planned the sprint with planning poker. Each Friday we did a retrospective. My contribution to the project varied from making whole pages to fixing bugs. I was also responsible for the layout. Independently I completed sprint tasks. In the course of my employment at Postbuzz my javascript, Angular and CSS skills became stronger. One of those projects was to develop an Android application for the tool Tickspot. Tickspot is a time management tool. We also had the chance to develop a concept from Viking Labs. Viking Labs is a department from Mobile Vikings where they try to make innovative concepts reality. The concept that we worked out was Viking Chat. This application gave users the ability to quickly send voice messages over the internet. Further I learned more about unit testing and version control. My task during the internship was to develop and test in an Android environment. For the 2 projects described above I also had to design an interface and make an analysis. 4 4/5 Hasselt Bachelor Thesis As an application developer you must learn how to be part of and work in a team. For this reason my thesis project was made in a team that consisted of 4 application developers,3 network engineers and 1 software manager. Our client was the CEO of Ready2Improve. Their core business was to train and ensure their customers a better and healthier lifestyle. To accomplish this the company already had a website where users could update their personal progress. Our goal was to support Ready2Improve customers with a new tool or application for their Android device. This application used wearables to keep track of their physical training. My main task as application developer was to create an API for the application. I also helped in making the analysis of the project. Further I helped with developing the application itself. Tools: To make our thesis even more challenging, we decided to use Xamarin. This platform was never used by any of us before. The API was made with the WCF Framework.
