11 Interconnection/Approval Process Residential/Small Commercial Application and Engineering Review Conditional Approval ed to customer and Agent Typically business days Net meter installed within 10 business days after System Installation Testing and Self-Certification Final Acceptance Final Acceptance letter typically within 10 business days of selfcertification receipt. ( to customer and Agent) PV System can then be placed in service 11

12 Interconnection/Approval Process Commercial and Complex Systems Application and Preliminary Review If needed, Applicant Commits to Engineering study (CESIR) Utility Completes the CESIR 60 business days Applicant Commits to Utility Construction of Utility s System Modification ($ for solution) Project Construction Applicant s Facility is Tested in Accordance with SIR On-site verification testing, no self-certification allowed. 20 Time of Use - Residential DEFINITION OF RATING PERIODS: Period I 12 Noon to 7 PM, Mon through Fri, June - Sept. Period II 10 AM to 12 Noon. and 7 PM to 9PM, Mon through Fri, June - Sept. Period III 10 AM to 9 PM, Mon through Fri, Oct - May. Period IV 9 PM to 10 AM, Mon through Fri, all hours on Sat and Sun and holidays, all months. Holidays are: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. 20

21 Time of Use - Commercial DEFINITION OF RATING PERIODS: Period I 1 PM to 7 PM, Mon through Fri, June - Sept. Period II 10 AM to 9 PM, Mon through Fri, Oct - May. Period III 7 PM to 1 PM, Mon through Fri, June through Sept 9 PM to 10 AM, Mon through Fri, Oct through May All hours Sat, Sun and holidays, all months. 21

22 Time of Use - Billing Each time period has a separate register Excess kwh in one time period cannot be applied to another time period. i.e. Excess summer daytime production cannot be used to offset winter use Annual reconciliation based on avoided cost NOT peak rates 22

24 Remote Net Metering The Host Account and all Satellite Accounts must: be located within O&R's service territory. be established in the same customer name and tax ID#. be located on property owned or leased by the customer. The customer may add or remove Satellite Accounts once per year New designations take effect with the Host s January bill. Separate Application 24

25 Remote Net Metering - Billing Any excess kwh is converted to its equivalent monetary value at the Host Account's tariff rate the monetary value is first applied to Host Account's electric bill Any remaining credit is applied to the Satellite Account(s) in the order in which the Satellite Account(s) are billed. The customer can designate whether all or a portion of the monetary credit is applied to the Satellite Account(s). 25
