2 The EM50is uses Honda's advanced four-stroke GX340 engine for a maximum power output of 5,000 watts AC, and rated output of 4,500 watts, perfect for commercial applications. INTRODUCTION AN INDUSTRY LEADER The EM50is is the largest capacity inverter generator in its class, and builds on the Advanced 4-Stroke Technology used in Honda's extremely popular EU Series generators. It's equipped with Honda s revolutionary Eco-Throttle system, which automatically adjusts the engine's RPM to generate only as much power as you need, thus reducing fuel consumption by approximately 10% compared to conventional generators. The EM50is is perfect for powering larger appliances and will run anything from a circular saw to sophisticated computer equipment. I-MONITOR TECHNOLOGY An innovation on the EM50is inverter generator is the 'i-monitor' LCD screen which gives you fingertip access to information about the generator's performance. The 'i-monitor' feature acts as an hour meter displaying hours of operation, generator output, engine speed and battery voltage. It also boasts an overload warning where a light flashes if the generator is overloaded or if its temperature rises abnormally. In this unlikely event, the generator will automatically switch off. An engine oil level warning is also provided by the i-monitor and the engine will shut down when the level is low. To aid servicing, the i-monitor features a self diagnostic function will alert you when maintenance is due and therefore increasing engine life to provide years of reliable and trouble-free use. PEACE OF MIND The EM50is runs on unleaded fuel so you'll never have to mix oil and petrol again, and produces less noise and carbon emissions than the competition. It offers up to 14.6* hours of continuous operation on a full fuel tank (with eco-throttle switched on at 1/4 output), and features Honda's famous 'easy start' system.
