From Rum Bar to President - Testimony to be Aired on NCU TV June 3 at 7pm. Watch NCU TV this Friday night, June 3, 2016, at 7:00 p.m. to hear Elder Orlando Christie s Testimony in an NCU interview. The interest arose from an article posted our EJC Website on May 5, 2016 titled From Rum Bar to President written by Judith Kirlew Samuels of Heroes Circle SDA. Notice from the Secretariat Please be advised that members of the East Jamaica Conference Adminstration, along with a combined team to include Directors, Pastors and lay members of the church, will be in Mexico attending a Lord Transform Me summit and will return on Wednesday June 8, They solicit your prayer as they seek to benefit from this summit. Membership Skills Bank The East Jamaica Conference Administration is on a drive to build a Membership Skills Bank Database in an effort to readily identify and access members with experience, skills and expertise in the various areas needed to assist the church in fulfilling its mission. 2 Notice from the Sabbath School and Personal Ministries Department 1. The first copy of the quarterly JAMU Lord Transform Me E- magazine is now available online. Click here. 2. Kindly reserve June 11 for our grand LTM Bible Festival, Lay Evangelism Association Convention and School of Evangelism Module launch at the Constant Spring Church. We are inviting all LTM Leaders, LEA Leaders, Sabbath School Officers, Personal Ministries Officers, Youth Leaders, Bible Instructors, Lay Preachers and committed Lord Transform Me members. The June 12 event - the LTM multi-group leadership training has been postponed until further notice due to the funeral service of Elder Noel Morgan s Mother. Notice from the Ministerial, Prayer Ministries and Community Services Department 1. The Community Services Department will be having its Convention at Golden Acres in St. Andrew, from Friday, July 8 to Sunday, July 10, We are inviting each church to sponsor two persons the community services leader and one other member from the department. The contribution is one thousand dollars per person, which will cover food, accommodation and training material. Transportation will be provided for those who may need to travel from the Conference office to Golden Acres. The Pastors, Directors and families get together will be held June 25, Notice from the Education Department 1. EJC Preparatory and High Schools will host their Consecration Service on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at the Kencot SDA Church at 11 a.m. The graduation exercises will be held from June 26 to July 5, Please contact the individual schools for details.

EJC Education Department will conduct their annual Professional Development Teachers Seminar for all our preparatory and basic schools and our high school in this conference, on August 25, Principals and Teachers are encouraged to mark this date on your calendar. Thought: No scheme of business or plan of life can be sound or complete that embraces only the brief years of this present life and makes no provision for the unending future. The WM Executive will host a pre Fathers' Day Brunch and Fun on Sunday, June 12, 2016 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m at 74 Constant Spring Road. This is the year of the men... make it a double whopper by giving them a pre -treat. Children, wives, friends, book now for this special male and other family members. Tickets available only $ Call / or (See flyer below). 2. Payment date for the October 13-16, Women's Ministries retreat has been EXTENDED. If you have not yet made your first deposit, come do so now. Debit & / credit cards are also accepted. Book now for this 4 day retreat. Best rate ever!! Median cost $35,000. The first 2 days are for personal rejuvenation. There will be vesper service for everyone on Friday. The males, GEMS & Jewels will have separate sessions on Sabbath. See website for registration form or collect same from your pastor. A. 4 4. Family Ministries Directors: The office is now renewing its call for the couples list as well as the estimate of attendees to the July 2 symposium. CMDs: Kindly send us a report of your May activities including the number of children who were baptized. Send pictures if you can. 6. Notice from the Health and Stewardship Department 1. EJC Health Ministries Department will conduct the next First Aid, CPR & AED training on Sunday, June 5 & 19, 2016, 8:00 a.m. 4:30 pm in the EJC boardroom. All interested persons are to submit a completed application form along with payment of $5,500 by June 2, 2016.

5 Please note that for the training to be conducted there needs to be no less than ten (10) persons. 2. The JAMU/EJC Stewardship Ministries Department will be hosting the L.I.F.T Seminar on Sabbath, June 18, 2016 under the big tent at the Morant Bay round-a-bout, commencing at 9:00 a.m. All members of Zone 4 are invited, especially: i) District Pastors (ii) Stewardship Ministries Directors, Wills & Trust Services Directors and both their assistants. (iii) First Elders and Treasurers and/or their assistants iv) Zone 4 Church Clerks/Communication Directors plus their families and friends 3. The EJC Healthy Lifestyle Retreat will be conducted at Golden Acres Resort from August 31 September 4, Details to come. 4. The EJC 1.5K & 5K Health Run/Walk & Children s Fun Day will now be held on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at 6:00 a.m. on the grounds of the Kingsway High & Prep School/Kencot SDA Church. Races will begin at 7:00 a.m. Early bird registration ends on August 12. For groups of 20 & more: ages over 12 years $900 each and children under 12 years $ each Notice from the Youth Department 1.
