Read all instructions before using this product!. Keep work area clean. Cluttered areas invite injuries. 2. Observe work area conditions. Keep work area well lit while assembling. 3. Check for damaged parts. Before using any product, any part that appears damaged should be carefully checked to determine that it will perform its intended function. Check for any broken or damaged parts and any other conditions that may affect its operation. Replace or repair damaged or worn parts immediately. 4. Always check hardware and assembled parts after assembling. All connections should be tight and hardware tightened. 5. Keep children away. Children must never be allowed in the work area when assembling this product. 6. Dress Properly. Non skid footwear is recommended when setting up this product. Wear restrictive hair covering to contain long hair. 7. Use eye protection. Always wear ANSI approved impact safety goggles when setting up this product. 3 8. Maintain product with care. Follow instructions for setting up. Inspect periodically. Be sure bolts that hold the umbrella are tightened and lower the umbrella when not in use. Harbor Freight Tools is not responsible for injuries when using this product. 9. Do not overreach. Keep proper balance at all times when setting up this product. 0. Use the right product for the job. There are certain applications for which this product was designed. The product is designed to hold a pole upright such as an umbrella pole or flag pole. Do not modify this product or use this product for a purpose other than which it was intended.. Do not assemble the Umbrella Stand if under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Read warning labels on prescriptions to determine if your judgement or reflexes are impaired while taking drugs. If there is any doubt, do not set up the this product. 2. Test this product to see if it meets your needs. Inspect often to be sure the pole is stable and will not blow over the umbrella or flag in a strong wind. Be sure the Stand is on a level surface. After repeated assembly, the locking ability of the Adjustable Knob (8) may weaken. Check periodically the bolted connection to the pole of the umbrella or flag. Warning: The warnings, cautions, and instructions discussed in this instruction manual cannot cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur. It must be understood by the operator that common sense and caution are factors which cannot be built into this product, but must be supplied by the operator. Unpacking When unpacking this product check to make sure that all parts are included as shown in the parts list. 4 Assembly. Slip the Pole Ring (3) over the screw end of the Umbrella Receptacle (2) and insert the Umbrella Receptacle (2) into the hole on top of the Umbrella Base () and connect the threads of the screw, using the Metal Washer (6) and Nut (7). Tighten the Nut. See Figure. Washer (6) Nut (7) Bottom of Base () Rubber Feet (9) Figure 2. Attach the three Rubber Feet (9) on the bottom of the Umbrella Base (). Determine the size of your umbrella pole. Insert the Adapters (4 & 5) into the top of the Umbrella Receptacle (2). If the diameter of your umbrella pole or flag pole is larger, you can remove the Inner Pole Adapter (5) for a better fit. It may fit the Outer Pole Adapter (4). Another option is to remove both Adapters (4 & 5) altogether. (Set aside for future use). Insert the pole into the Umbrella Receptacle (2) and tighten with the Adjustable Knob (8).
