Running a public-facing website in an environment where it can be clustered and run independently of other nodes in the cluster is a common way of ensuring these features. This allows for load balancing and fail-over, which properly handle both the website s availability and responsiveness. The Composite.Tools.LoadBalancing package propagates content and media file changes across any node connected to the same Load Balancing package s database. As a result, content editors can add, edit and delete content such as pages and data items as well as media files - and these changes will be instantly reflected across all nodes in a Composite C1 installation. The package thus extends the standard Composite C1 installation with the possibilities of running a Composite C1 website in a clustered environment and having content and media file changes immediately updated on all nodes in the cluster.
