1 CANDIDA YEAST INFECTION DIET Both men and woman can be affected, but it is mainly women and especially very young girls and older women who seem to be affected. Yeast infection is the result of too lavish growth of Candida, a form of yeast which normally appears in the lower intestine, vagina and on the skin. In healthy individuals the presence of Candida is regarded as a normal part of the intestine flora the group of organisms that exist in the lower region of the digestive track. When the immune system is healthy and functions normally, the growth of Candida will be under control. By means of the presence of friendly bacteria in the intestines (Befido-bacteria befidum and Lactobacillus acidophilus) a natural control-mechanism effectively prevents the excessive growth of Candida Albicans. Should it however happen that this :friendly bacteria suffers damage and an imbalance thereby occurs, the Candida can increase to such an extent that it can be potentially harmful to the body tissues. This condition is known as Candidacies excessive growth and increase of yeast fungus. When an imbalance exists in the bodily functions yeast infections can easily occur. Imbalances in our bodily functions can occur as a result of exposure to and the use of the following. Antibiotics and sulpha medications Steroidal hormones Immune suppressive drugs Unhealthy diet (eating habits) Various environmental factors Infections in women are linked to pregnancy, multiple pregnancies and the use of contraceptives. The female hormone progesterone (which increase in the later part of the menstrual cycle) greatly increases the susceptibility to yeast infections in women. A weakened immune system may cause Candida to grow excessively and become a detrimental to a person s general health and well-being. When Candidacies (the fungus form of Candida) is present, it can affect the mucous membranes between the blood vessels and the intestines and break it down. This breakingdown process causes harmful toxins and allergens to enter the bloodstream. As much as seventy nine different poisonous substances have already been identified in the bloodstream. Once it has entered the bloodstream these dangerous toxins can freely move to all parts of the body. Various unfavourable symptoms now appear and immune system is further compromised. This condition can be serious threat to your health and life. You must familiarize yourself with the symptoms associated with Candidacies and the destructive effect it exercises on your health before you can bring it under control and stabilize it.
2 A partial list of early symptoms of Candidacies (yeast infection) gives an indication of how far-reaching the problem is associated with this serious health hazard: Constipation and / or diarrhoea Burning micturition Irregular or non-existent menstrual cycles Regular headaches Chronic tiredness, fatigue Dramatic mood swings Irritability Nasal itching Chronic nasal congestion ( Sinusitis and Bronchitis) Muscle pain (lower back and neck) Sore throat Abdominal swelling Bloatedness Fever blisters (cold sores) Depression and anxiety Blurred vision Drifting objects before eyes Vaginal discharge CANDIDIASIS CAN BE ELIMINATED One must begin with eating habits and diet. Nourishment and growth of the Candida must be prevented. Do you continuously crave sweets, sugar or bread? Candidacies are nourished by sugar in the diet. The following MUST be avoided ALL alcohol (it is made from yeast and refined sugar) as well as fruit and fruit juices (starch is converted to sugar). Yogurt only natural yogurt because of friendly Lactobacilli. Candidacies gains an opportunity when the friendly bacteria in the intestines is destroyed most frequently though antibiotics or steroid hormones. Refer to more complete exposition of foods to be avoided in diet as well as suggested alternatives. The following can be considered: 1. A professional health carer will help you to strengthen the immune system as well as the body balance. 2. Turn to a Candida diet. 3. Eliminate all immune suppressive agent and antibiotics. 4. Take supplements to strengthen your immune system. 5. Flax Seed Oil. This will eliminate Cravings for fatty foods and fats use until cravings stop. It s also available in a liquid form and can be used over salads as a salad-dressing. PROCEDURE TO BE FOLLOWED IF YOU SUSPECT A YEAST INFECTION IS PRESENT.
3 Immediately consult a professional Health Carer that understands the health risks pertaining to Candida. Dr. Richard Hurley of London states that the death rate of untreated Candidacies is nearing 100 present. A delay in treatment is highly dangerous and will most likely cause the death of the patient. Once again, if you experiencing any of the symptoms of a Candida yeast infection, do NOT hesitate to approach a Health Carer who can furnish you with suggestions regarding diet, control and treatment thereof. THE ANTI-CANDIDA DIET Diet is most important to bring superfluous yeast under control. The following must be avoided for 6-8 weeks. As soon as the patient begins to feel better, it,ay slowly brought back into the diet: Refined carbohydrates: Avoid refined sugar, white flour and white rice. (Use only Unpolished rice or brown rice.) Food and drinks containing sugar. All foodstuffs containing sugar. Avoid if possible sweeteners like Nutri-/sweet which contain aspar-tarne. Other forms of sugar dextrose, fructose, sucrose, glucose, lactose, maltose, glycogen and manitol, monosack aroids, polysackroids, sorbitol, yeast ad foodstuffs containing yeast this includes bread, bread-rolls, rusks and snack foods containing yeast, vitamins with yeast or brewer s yeast. Read etiquettes carefully. Alcoholic beverages: No beer, wine or cider. All are made with yeast. Cheese: The more mature the cheese, the more yeast it contains. The following cheese may be allowed: Cream cheese, Cottage cheese and Ricotta cheese. Products of Yeast Fermentation: Herbal sauces, foods containing sauces and vinegar, pickles, mayonnaise, tomato sauce, various makes of Salad-dressings, Barbeque sauces, Soya sauces. Unsweetened plain Yogurt is usually permitted as it is fermented with the friendly bacteria known as Lacto-bacilli s instead of yeast. Processed foods and smoked meat: This is inclined to contain more yeast than the unprocessed foodstuffs. Avoid ham, bacon, pastrami and smoked meats. Dried and Tinned fruits: avoid dried fruits and dried vegetables (raisins, apricots, dates, prunes, figs and pineapple). Fruits and fruits juices: Fruit is quickly converted into sugar. Some fruits, especially spanspek and various watermelons may be infected with fungus. Tinned and canned fruit juices are loaded with yeast. After a few weeks, should your health begin to improve, you may take fresh whole fruits to ascertain if it will produce symptoms again, but one type a day. Coffee and Tea: is subject to fungal contamination, although to what degree is uncertain. Should you feel you cannot do without these drinks, try to lessen the amount!! Food additives: many doctors are not in favour of drinks add food containing artificial flavouring, colorants and preservatives. Edible Fungi: All types of mushrooms. Antibiotics: Avoid at all costs if possible. Nuts: especially Ground nuts - peanuts and red nuts contain malt which can nourish yeast.
4 Malt products: Milk drinks, breakfast cereals and sweet. Left-over food: Mildew grows on left-over food. It should be properly cooled and the preferably frozen NOT placed in refrigerator, to avoid contamination. No bread: It contains yeast, not even Low GI No sugar: Candida GROWS on sugar. No fruits: Except Paw-Paw, papino and Avo s. Drink fresh lemon juice with water. REMEMBER NOTHING THAT CONTAIN WHEAT.
