4 CIMA 2015 Syllabus Structure The CIMA Professional syllabus has been updated for At each Professional level there are now three Objective Tests (e.g. E1, P1, F1) followed by an Integrated Case Study. You must progress by level in the order shown in the diagram to the left. To progress to the next level you must have passed all 3 Objective Tests and the Integrated Case Study from the lower level. The 3 Objective Tests within each level can be taken in any order, but must be passed before attempting the Integrated Case Study for that level. Objective Tests (OTs) - The 9 technical exams (E1, E2, E3, P1, P2, P3, F1, F2, F3) will each consist of 90 minute 'Objective Tests' taken on a computer. These will be available all year around, starting from January These exams are computer marked so results will be available shortly after the exam. Objective Tests use a combination of multiple choice, data entry, fill in the gaps and drag/drop style questions. Questions will be selected randomly and will cover all of the learning outcomes within the syllabus. Integrated Case Study (ICS) - there will now be a case study at each level - Operational, Management and Strategic. These 3 hour computer exams will cover the syllabus from all 3 pillars within the level you are sitting. There will be four fixed exam sittings a year - February, May, September and November. These exams are human marked and results will be available c.3-4 weeks after the exam are held. The exams will be broken down into timed sections with tasks being set based on 'trigger' information delivered at various points during the exam. The previously unseen trigger information will build on the pre-seen material that you will receive a few weeks prior to the exam. The questions will be discursive, and involve minimal calculations, short answers and essays. Some tasks will also be linked.
