2 Our chairs Senator seating is made and designed to the highest standards and conforms to all the relevant European standards. Products comply with the EC directive 90/270/ EC for VDU workstations where appropriate. Our task seating products are designed and accessed in accordance with the ergonomic guidelines of BSEN :2000 and BSEN 92415:1999. They are independently tested in excess of the performance requirements of BSEN 13352/3:2009 and BS 54592:2000+A2:2008. Whilst visitor chairs are tested to BSEN 13761:2002 and BSEN 15373:2007. Every item is manufactured to the quality assurance standards of ISO9001:2000. As the leading manufacturer of seating in the UK we regularly manufacture special seating to suit clients individual requirements and also develop new products for specific applications. Providing the material is suitable for upholstery purposes, we are happy to use any material and will quote a realistic price based on the cost of the fabric and its suitability for upholstery. If you prefer to supply the fabric then we would normally use the Class 1 price for fabric and Class 3 for Leather. If significant numbers are required then we will quote a special price. 4 About Us Sustainability Senator is committed to continually improving the Sustainability of all environmental aspects within our business. To meet both standard and our environmental targets we apply the three R s principle: reduce reuse recycle Whilst Recycling is the element which receives the most exposure it is actually the third option available and should not be the prime target in the battle to Reduce waste. It is the effort made in the first instance to minimise usage, then giving consideration to Reuse wherever possible that contributes, before having to consider Recycling. 006

6 Mechanisms Gas Units Senator task chairs are fitted as standard with a pneumatic gas lift that are tested for users up to 150KG. We offer a variety of additional gas lifts that can provide aesthetic enhancement or are suited for specific applications, variable seat height ranges and additional upcharge are detailed below. The addition of a flexible pivotal joint ensures the back flexes additionally through 6 degrees with the movement of the body continuously. Both movements combine to give an exceptional flexible sit position offering maximum support. Tension can be adjusted via a side tension adjuster for ease of use. Standard synchronised Featuring a new synchronised mechanism geometry that links the motion of the seat and the 22 backrest recline with a ratio of 2:1, the backrest has a multiposition back lock with 5 preset lockable positions and is fitted with an antikick brake system or can be left freefloating. The tension of the backrest action can be balanced to the user s bodyweight/preference via an extendable crank handle on the side of the mechanism on the Sprint, Dash, Fuse. Clipper features new generation of fully synchronised mechanism. Clipper has a three stage travel limiter with an upright lock and a high gear side tension adjustment. Body balance Features an intelligent recline mechanism that automatically adjusts to provide the correct level of support through the full range of its 22 recline motion. This mechanism features a 3 stage travel restrictor and an upright seat and back lock. The travel restrictor provides a preset limits to the recline of the chair back and encourages the user to leave the chair in an unlocked freefloating action that promotes good back health. The geometry of the mechanism truly balances to the individual user and ensures secure stable sitting whilst maintaining the correct orientation to the desk and VDT. Progressive synchronised Advanced mechanism pivot geometry ensures a more ergonomic motion supporting the user fully during recline, minimising any sensation of knee lift and keeping back contact throughout the lumbar region. Advanced synchro mechanism ensures the seat and backrest move in harmony with the body in a ratio of 2.6:1 with a maximum back recline of 27 Agitus and Evolve 2 is fitted with a travel limiter, Evolve and Enigma have a multiposition back lock and are fitted with an antikick brake system or can be left freefloating. Agitus and Evolve also feature a negative or forward tilt feature as standard, this is a selectable option for Enigma. Body weight adjustment using a retractable handle, allowing operation from the seated position to ensure the chair naturally moves and supports the body in line with personal sitting preferences. 54 Warranty Terms & Conditions The Senator Group warrants that its manufactured products are free from manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship for a period of ten (10) years on Senator Seating ranges; and fifteen (15) years on Senator Desking ranges with the exceptions and exclusions as listed below. Senator will repair, or replace (at Senator s sole discretion) with comparable free of charge materials / components, any product / component which fails under normal use in a single shift environment, as a result of a defect in the materials and/ or workmanship. Senator only checks the manufacturing quality of Customer s Own Material (COM) and provides no warranty for the finish / fabric itself Product which has not been installed/ moved/ reconfigured by Senator approved personnel Senator shall be under no liability whatsoever for any consequential damage, loss or other expenses whether arising out of contract, negligence or otherwise. 01 Unless prior to written agreement to the contrary these terms shall be incorporated as conditions of any order, quotation or contract accepted by the company. 02 Prices are based on the current price list, and are exclusive of VAT which will be charged at the rate ruling at the time of despatch. These prices may be changed by specific agreement in writing. 03 In the event of variation or suspension of work by your instructions or lack of instructions, the contract price shall be adjusted accordingly. 04 No order may be cancelled by a customer without our consent in writing. Senator reserves the right to claim all loss and expenses which may be incurred as a result of cancellation. 05 Unless otherwise quoted all deliveries to our customer shall be FOC. Deliveries made to third parties will be subject to a delivery charge of 7.5% of the goods total a minimum will be levied. UK mainland delivery will be to ground floor entrances only. The driver making the delivery will be unaccompanied and the purchaser is requested to provide free assistance in unloading the said delivery. Delivery shall be deemed as completed on acceptance at ground floor entrances. We reserve the right to deliver by instalments. 06 Non delivery and shortages. Notification of non delivery/shortages/ breakages must be made in writing within 5 days from invoice date for all dispatches by Senator s own transport. For deliveries made by outside carrier notification, as above, must be made within 10 days from invoice date. The risk shall pass on delivery to the purchaser. 07 The Senator Group warrants that its manufactured products are free from manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship for a period of ten (10) years on Senator Seating ranges; and fifteen (15) years on Senator Desking ranges, subject to fair tear and wear with the exceptions and exclusions as detailed in our full warranty statement that is available on request, published in the relevant company literature and stationery, and shown on the website Senator will repair, or replace, (At Senator s sole discretion) with comparable free of charge materials/ components, any product/ component which fails under normal use in a single shift environment, as a result of a defect in the materials and/or workmanship. 08 Credit accounts are subject to satisfactory references and verification by out Credit Insurers, Trade Indemnity PLC. We require as standard one bank and two trade references. (We reserve the right to refuse credit facilities offering proforma/cod as alternatives). Unless notified in writing to the contrary payment must be received within 30 days of invoice for (settlement) discount to be deducted. All invoices become due for payment 30 days from invoice date. We reserve the right to suspend production despatch of orders if default is made in payment. Interest of 2.5%/month will be charged on all overdue accounts. Should it become necessary to commence legal proceedings for the recovery of a debt the credit facilities will cease. 09 Senator will accept the return of faulty goods subject to the following: a) Goods defective on delivery can be returned for exchange or full credit b) Goods incorrectly delivered by Senator can be returned for full credit. c) Goods incorrectly ordered will not be accepted back for credit without a negotiated handling charge authorised in writing. d) Samples will be credited in full if returned in good condition within 60 days of delivery. Payment must be made for all samples not returned within this period. 10 Senator will be entitled to assign, subcontract or sublet any contract. 11 All contracts will be construed and operate in accordance with English Law. 12 Goods shall remain the sole and absolute property of Senator as legal and equitable owner until such time as the purchaser shall have paid to Senator the full amount of the price of the goods together with the full price of any other goods the subject of any other contract with Senator. Not withstanding that the goods shall remain the sole and absolute property of Senator the Purchaser shall assume the risk in the goods and shall insure the goods for their full market value. The purchaser acknowledges that it is in possession of the goods solely as a fiduciary for Senator until the Purchaser becomes the owner of the goods. In the event that the Purchaser sells the goods the purchaser acknowledges that the entire proceeds of sale therefore are held in trust for Senator and shall not be mingled with other monies paid into any overdrawn Bank Account and shall be at all times identifiable as Senator s monies. 13 Senator do not accept any responsibility for electrical work/installation which our own personnel do not supervise.
