Surface Preparation: The surface must be clean, dry and free of all dirt, rust and other foreign matter. Remove all loose, peeling or cracked paint. Feather sand (using 400 sandpaper) rough edges, followed by solvent wipe. Allow minutes for solvent flash off. Prime bare metal. Glossy surfaces must be lightly sanded to insure proper adhesion. Fiberglass: Scrub with foaming cleaner, rinse well and allow to dry. Sand fiberglass thoroughly to completely remove gloss and provide adhesion. Wipe surface with solvent and allow to dry. Galvanized: AGCO specifies galvanized surfaces be supplied dry, which eliminates the usual requirement to remove all oils from the surface. Remove all loose, peeling or cracked surface. Lightly sand (using 400 sandpaper) all new and aged galvanized surfaces to ensure good adhesion. Feather sand (using 400 sandpaper) rough edges, followed by solvent wipe. Allow minutes for solvent flash off. Priming: To insure best results, bare ferrous metal should be primed with AGCO Fast Dry Primers. AGCO Primers may be topcoated within 1 ½ hours and should be topcoated within 5 days. If primer stands longer than 5 days, surface must be properly prepared again. Application: Stir thoroughly, using circular, lifting motion. Apply when surface and air temperatures range between 40 F-90 F. Clean Up & Reducer ACETONE IMPORTANT: Use of other type of thinner will raise VOC level of paint. Technical Assistance:

6 Spray Application: Product is supplied at under 2.8 VOC. It is formulated to spray at the viscosity supplied for most spray applicators. The paint may seem very thin this is normal for low VOC paint formulations. If reduction is necessary, USE ONLY ACETONE. Add one part Acetone to 6 parts paint. Continuously stir paint while gradually adding Acetone. Exact reduction varies with type of spray equipment and air pressure used. Apply in light mist coats until desired appearance is achieved. Allow paint to become tacky between coats. Recommended recoat window is before 30 minutes or after 36 hours of the last coat. The data on this sheet represents typical values. High temperatures will reduce pot life. Brush Application: This paint should not be thinned for brush application. Apply to small areas and brush out to an even uniform coat. Recoating: When more than one coat is desired, recoat within 30 minutes or after 36 hours of the last coat. Heavy film, high humidity or low temperatures will lengthen the recommended time interval before recoat. In those conditions, recoat should be tested on small, hidden areas. Spreading rate: square foot per gallon, depending upon method of application and type of surface. Drying time Dries to touch in 2 4 hours under average temperature and humidity. Equipment may be handled in hours. Do not wax equipment for 2 weeks. Dry time will vary due to atmospheric conditions. With Hardener, dries to touch within minutes under average temperature and humidity. Equipment may be handled within 4 6 hours. Do not wax equipment for 2 weeks. Dry time will vary due to atmospheric conditions. Clean Up: Clean up tools and spatters immediately Acetone. Safety Precautions Always paint in well-ventilated areas. Use an approved respirator when sanding or spraying. Never spray near open flame of other ignition sources. Safety glasses and gloves should be worn when handling any paint product. 8 Description: An acrylic modified alkyd enamel designed to provide the extreme gloss and weathering performance of an acrylic with the ease of an alkyd application. Surface Preparation: The surface must be clean, dry and free of all dirt, rust and other foreign matter. Remove all loose, peeling or cracked paint. Feather sand (using 400 sandpaper) rough edges, followed by solvent wipe. Allow minutes for solvent flash off. Prime bare metal. Glossy surfaces must be lightly sanded to insure proper adhesion. Application: Shake can until agitator ball moves freely for three minutes. Rotate can while shaking. Shake the can occasionally during use. For best results, use when the can temperature is approximately 75 F. Hold the can 8 10 inches from the surface to be painted. Apply with steady, even strokes. Apply several light coats, allowing the paint to become tacky between coats. If clogging occurs, remove spray button with twisting motion and clean. Do not stick pin or other object into can. Replace by gently twisting on. 6

Topcoat within 4 hours or after 48 hours. Primer allowed to dry for 5 days will require additional surface preparation to ensure proper adhesion of top coat. 13 Ag-Chem URA-ZEN (Urethane) Paints Technical Bulletin (Two Part System) Product Description URA-ZEN is a trade name for Hentzen s two-component urethane coatings. This two-component urethane exhibits very high gloss and excellent weatherability characteristics. Handling and Storage The containers should be stored away from direct sunlight and heat. Freezing is not harmful if reheated gently to room temperature prior to use.
