1 Fons & Porter's Love of Quilting TV Supplies Series 2700 Sewing machine for the series is the Baby Lock Crescendo. The sewing center is provided by Koala Cabinets. For piecing, we use the ¼ quilting presser foot or the monogramming presser foot. We use basic sewing supplies such as fabric, rotary cutters, cutting mats, and scissors, plus specific items listed below. We wear a Klutz cut-resistant safety glove when rotary cutting, press with a Reliable iron, and measure using Omnigrid and Fons & Porter rulers. Patterns and instructions for quilts featured are in Love of Quilting, Easy Quilts magazine or as listed. Digital patterns are also available for purchase through our online shop. We now have DVDs available for our TV shows beginning with the 400 series. SERIES 2700 LOVE OF QUILTING SHOW DESCRIPTIONS Our newest series includes an original row quilt with blocks created by Marianne Fons and Liz Porter, and two traditional designs from staff members. We present quilts created using special tools, a project that honors our service men and women, a baby quilt project, a focus on longarm quilting, edge-to-edge style, as well as lots of great techniques to add to your piecing skills Just Beachy Would you like to add a touch of whimsy to your next pool side gathering? The Apple Core template makes Core Connection a snap to cut, now to polish the curve piecing skill. Patrick Lose and Colleen Tauke will present how to use a template to cut and then piece with accuracy this beautiful quilt. The quilt was designed, constructed and quilted by Diane Tomlinson. It can be created using a variety of patterns, it can have a theme or it can be created as a team project. The perfect duo teamed up to make blocks for this traditional quilt. 4 Fons & Porter Half and Quarter Ruler 2706 Easy Edge to Edge Quilting One style of machine quilting is labeled edge-to-edge. This refers to an overall pattern that begins along one outer edge of the quilt and proceeds in an even manner across the quilt to the opposite edge. Patrick and his guest Angela Huffman delve into aids that can assist us in creating these quick, yet useful designs to complete our quilts. Patrick Lose and the author Debbie Grifka will discuss the use of negative space, appliqué and a variety of appliqué stitches. You will gain great information to add to our store house of knowledge. The quilt was designed, constructed and quilted by Debbie Grifka. This quilt is featured in the May/June 2016 issue of Love of Quilting.
