8 Masters Course Master Implant Esthetics with Lee Culp, CDT, featuring NobelProcera Software and IPS e.max MASTERS COURSES CERAMIC COURSES WITH IPS e.max In the dynamic world of implant retained restorations, dentists and technicians face numerous challenges requiring sound treatment planning and a thorough understanding of restorative options. The single anterior tooth implant restoration is often one of the most challenging due to the necessity to esthetically match the adjacent teeth in shape, shade, and gingival architecture. Regarding fixed implant bridges, the lack of soft tissue due to bone resorption requires the fabrication of gingival shaded ceramics with press or layering materials. This three-day course will examine the various abutment options and restorative combinations that will best serve to create the most esthetic restoration for a variety of clinical scenarios. The unique advantages of the NobelProcera CAD software for custom digital precision milled abutments will be emphasized. The hands-on component will include the fabrication of an IPS e.max Press all-ceramic anterior crown and bridge, including ceramic gingival augmentation, as well as a monolithic IPS e.max CAD single unit posterior crown. Implants principles including: The fundamentals of implantology Surgical techniques Abutment design and selection NobelProcera CAD software features Restorative options including: Customizing standard abutments for proper form and gingival height Color modification of ceramic abutments using IPS e.max Ceram Design considerations for single unit all-ceramic restorations October 4-6 Fees: $ CE Credits: 21 As Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at DTI Technologies, Lee Culp oversees the development of the DTI digital technologies program and their applied applications to restorative dentistry. 9 Mastesr Course Master Press Technology with Jürgen Seger featuring IPS e.max Ceram Simply choosing to fabricate an all-ceramic restoration does not ensure esthetic and functional success. Comprehensive skills and expertise in material handling properties provide the foundation to succeed. Focusing on a balanced smile design, this course will present all-ceramic solutions for diverse conditions using the IPS e.max system. Cases with multiple preparation designs, such as bridges, single crowns, veneers, thin veneers, and implant abutments, have become more and more prevalent in the all-ceramic field. Contending with different substructures, thicknesses, and materials, as well as colors of the natural dentition and implant abutments, and characteristics in translucency and opacity of all-ceramic materials, create numerous challenges when fabricating a restoration. Designed for ceramists experienced in the fabrication of all-ceramic restorations, this twoday course will focus on the morphology, contour and anatomical details of smile design while completing a multiple unit case utilizing esthetic principles and effective restorative techniques. Techniques and materials for esthetic and metal-free solutions Material choice relating to color, translucency, and masking characteristics Balancing value and color with various all-ceramic restorations Insights and indications regarding the IPS e.max all-ceramic system October Fees: $ CE Credits: 14 A certified dental technician in Switzerland since 1985, Jürgen Seger specializes in fixed prosthoodontics, ceramic, and implant supported restorations. He directed a dental laboratory in Liechtenstein in 1989 and in 1991 conducted postgraduate education courses on esthetics for Ivoclar Vivadent. For more than 10 years he has held positions as visiting faculty at leading teaching academies worldwide. Mr. Seger teaches and lectures throughout the world and has authored and co-authored articles on esthetic dentistry. As the head of the International Center for Dental Education (ICDE) technical at Ivoclar Vivadent in Liechtenstein since 2009, Mr. Seger is actively involved in the research and development of ground-breaking dental materials and technology.
