Community partners have a better understanding of the impact. Provides opportunities to identify early intervention No individual system will solve this problem alone. Best Practices: Medication Assisted Treatment Opiate addiction relapse rate w/out MAT is 80-95% Gold standard for Opiate treatment today includes MAT with Counseling and Recovery Support Services different meds involve different access & supervision, length of regime, costs, etc. Add stress of parenting, other services critical 3

Ohio Statewide Removal Reasons FY13 Caretaker inability to cope and neglect are the overriding reasons younger children are removed from their homes. Child behavior issues increase at age 13.
