14 Ethical Trading Initiative ETI brings together NGOs, trade unions, and corporations Purpose: to improve lives of poor working people globally Promotes and improves implementation of corporate codes of practice which cover supply chain working conditions Encourage companies to adopt ETI Base Code which reflects the most relevant international standards on labour practices
15 Ethical Sourcing This term is used in many ways Companies refer to ethical sourcing With factories Vendors Supply chain
16 Sustainable Consumption The use of goods and services that satisfy basic needs and improve quality of life while minimizing the use of irreplaceable natural resources and the byproducts of toxic materials, waste and pollution.
17 Sustainable Consumption can be practiced by Consumers, Businesses and Other Organizations Involves actions taken by designers, producers and consumers All are interdependent and have an impact on the environment and quality of life
18 Fair Trade A trading partnership, based on dialogue, transparency and respect that seeks greater equity in international trade. It contributes to sustainable development by offering better trading conditions to and securing rights of marginalized producers and workers especially in the South.
